On "abuses" in church
When we call abuse to something that is not abuse, we co-opt a word that is to be given in instances where the word is justified. It's important to differentiate between abuse, mistreatment, confrontation, etc. Learn more on this in our full podcast!

Understanding deconstruction and its goals
Deconstruction is an approach to understanding the relationship between text and meaning. So, when we ask a question like, is the Bible just? Proper exegesis is flipped on its head, and exegesis then turns into eisegesis. The mood of the deconstructionist becomes this understanding that from the Old Testament, all the way through the New Testament people's understanding of who God is, has gradually gotten better, therefore they would say, "we, now, understand God much better than Moses ever could've understood God" or "we, now, understand God much more clearly than Paul ever could've understood God."
