The Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce will host the 43rd annual Salute to the Military on Tuesday, October 8. The event is held to pay tribute to and thank the men and women in uniform for their service to the nation and the Coast communities.

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast, with the program beginning at 8 a.m. at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casio’s Magnolia Ballroom.

Jacob Malley of Long Beach (39560) has been named to Southern New Hampshire University's Summer 2024 Dean's List. The summer terms run from May to August.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Absentee ballots can be cast either in-person at a Circuit Clerk’s office or have one mailed to you.

To vote absentee, voters must provide a qualifying reason for doing so, such as being at college or cannot miss work, being out of state, or have a disability, among others.
