The third annual Superior Sweepstakes Finals was held at the Michiana Event Center, Shipshewana, Indiana. From a field of 71 foals, 20 finalists took a portion of the payout of the $272,000 purse.
The champion was a unanimous vote of the five-judge panel made up of Dwayne Knowles, Sarah Gove, John Whalen, Coby Holowacz and Karen Homer-Brown. Once In A Millennium (Minion Millennium x Millacres Starlite Avenue) was the c**t presented by Matt and Dennis Schlabach for owner/breeder Mark Allen Miller to earn a big check of $74,800.
The reserve was Wildcat Cheetah Speed (Dragonsmeade Sea Dragon CH x Upon Further Review). Amos Fisher of A & M Stables presented the filly for owner Daniel B. Fisher, earning $51,680.
