Changing the car buying experience...
I don’t know why I love the car industry so much🤔 because in some areas, I think it’s been broken and it hasn’t been a positive experience for the consumer. Which is the complete opposite of who I am! My grandpa Parker owned a full service gas station in Salt Lake City, Utah. My father, Clark Parker current owner of American Automotive and Machine, worked for the service station from the young age of 12. Later, my grandfather purchased a parts store American Auto Parts located near 2500 S state street. Those familiar with Salt Lake City, it was where the Triad Center is. All the kids and some grandchildren worked there. Including Larry H Miller ! Between 3-6 years of age, my dad left and started the machine shop. Which he still owns and operates today. __ My siblings and I spent every other weekend at the shop hanging out, giving each other rides on the dolly dad used to roll the engines around from machine to machine, watching dad build engines. Street legal and ones that you see at the drag strip and the oval track. He also built a few race boat engines. __ I grew up, got into the banking industry and before you know it, I’m now lending for automobiles, boats, motorcycles, trailers, and some commercial lending. __ During that time I got to know many auto dealers and salesman. I met some really good ones and some I’d consider shady. __ Over time I became very fond of the good ones and for the past 15+ years, I’ve secretly wanted to transition into the dealership industry. __ From a girl that grew up with a lot of adversity, surrounded with family and friends in the automotive industry, being a consumer and being raised by a strong parents that taught me valuable life lessons, I can see what’s broken, I see how things are changing and how I CAN make a positive and powerful impact. Even if it’s only within my area and those I get the pleasure to meet in person and online! ❤️🙏💃🌈
