Lawrence Public Schools has canceled all after-school and evening activities.
The Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence requests that families plan to pick up their club members from the after-school program as early as possible.
Lawrence Board of Education President Kelly Jones has determined that the school board will meet at 6 p.m. as scheduled, but for an abbreviated session, including the Swearing-in of Members, Opening Items, and the Consent Agenda. The Graduation Requirements/Portrait of a Graduate Report has been postponed until the board's January 22 meeting.
The district continues to monitor the weather and forecasts and will follow its Inclement Weather Procedures available at https://www.usd497.org/InclementWeather
if other announcements become necessary.
