Highlights include spinning for major clients which includes the T-Mobile, Pussycat Dolls, NFL Pro Bowl, Dog the Bounty Hunter, and All State Insurance. Vinh also holds residencies and DJ preferences at Las Vegas' major hotels including The Downtown Grand, The Grand Long Beach, Bellagio, Wynn & Encore, SLS Las Vegas, and Monte Carlo.

… and also having someone you spent many hours as a millennial kid glued watching on TV, be the dance floor party starter.
Mr. White came up to the DJ booth a handful of times with compliments, and asking who sang which songs I played. And I returned a few back telling him how he provided my childhood with plenty of laughs every time he barged into the Winslow’s home every episode.
The entire Reno + Lake Tahoe area has been, for so many years, grabbed at the strings of my soul in countless of ways.
From the beautiful 6 hour drive up the 95 from Vegas, to the very kind people with en ethos of both the Bay Area and Nevada, to the big mountains I get to cruise down in with my poofy green jacket ... And getting to be a dancing hippie in an open desert every Labor Day weekend a few hours away.
And you know what? I'm excited to be granted an opportunity to do what I love as a career here, too. Planted a few seeds to start supplying DJ services to not just Vegas, but ALL of Nevada (and nearby Cali).
We have a few in the pipeline this year, already.
So ready to live it up with the fine folks up North. Let's do this!

Many things on my mind lately.
I’ve been told these are the years you start to look back and wonder if you’ve done enough to push yourself to be your best self of today. It’s also the years you may look ahead, and see obstacles and milestones still yet to be attained.
Music transitions, often echoes these life transitions. Did we play the right songs previously to create the right atmosphere? And in the peak hour, have we reserved the best (or in the DJ terminology, the bangers) for last?
We can review or prepare all we want … but I’ve enjoyed some of my most memorable sets, from song to song … As well as going through this La La Life.. and Livinh it one day at a time

Jammin’ out for the fireworks show for a venue tonight.
First meeting w/ clients & partners: “So what separates you from others, what makes you different? ….yada yada yada”
And as I look to better articulate it with time & experience, I know a lot of my inspirations derives from feelings (viscerally preferred) when absorbing art & show … Whether its a page turner of a story, suspending disbeliefs at a magic show, a lead singer hitting a dance break, even how a chef plates a dinner 🍲 If I’m like “I felt that sh*t!” it strings me along for the entire night.
And of course, I then ask myself “What can I do in this space of music, lighting, and in the realm of mobile events & gathering, to also provide the same for those who select me to be a part of their evening?”
The shorter answer to the initial question: “𝘐 𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘥𝘰 𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘪𝘤𝘦 …”

But I know that’s where I’ll continue to explore ways to be a different stroke of paint on a canvas. Looking forward to continue evolving and showcasing these ideas to you all in due time 🙂

What an experience.
Off to a cool start for 2023.
Got invited to a meeting in Arizona to DJ later this month for every single student council member, in every high school in the state.
And yes, they’ll be holding it at this massive field house, with myself on stage near the 50 yard line 🏈
I don’t accept too many school dances or prom events, but I just had to when I heard what they had planned with over 1500+ kids in attendance, and how they wanted to use me.
The main chairman of the dance said:
“The last guy just pressed buttons, we want you to put on a performance. Bring whatever you got!”

For me, as an emcee, it’s always a welcomed challenge to be better every single event as a speaker and orator. Not overusing, or being highly redundant with the same verbiage & pronouns. Being dynamic with tone, and having rhyme and reason to what I’m actually saying.
And this brings me to LGBTQ+ weddings & events where we have to be conscious of how we present, honor, and still excite (with flair and a little sass) to being a more inclusive vendor to this growing - and booming - community. For me, it’s taking the extra minute to craft out what I typically would say to make sure it’s right for the moment - and the couples. Let’s keep doing better, everyone.

It’s all still surreal a few days removed from playing on New Years Eve for the most bad-ass wedding (and wrestling) couple, ever.
Man, I used to be a kid that would practice wrestling moves on his cousins and fight over the remote to tune in every Monday night to catch all the shows. And to be able to spin at The Tropicana again, a place where I spent my first 2 years as a Vegas transplant as their front desk concierge.. it’s just wild how things come full circle!
For Matt & Chelsea’s grand entrance, I just knew I was in a room filled with guests who also knew their way around a 🎤 . So I had to bring it when it was time to bring them out to surprise their guests with a CO2 entrance. This is how we did it!!!
A big thank you to SJ & Emily (The Vegas Planners) for letting me “live” a bit of my childhood, and trusting I won’t be a fanboy for the entire wedding 😅
And to Matt and Chelsea, you both were just epic the entire evening. Thank you forever and a million for the opportunity, and I hope it’s another amazing chapter to the endless memories you’ll continue to have together (steel chairs and all)

To be interactive is to not just put yourself in the moment. It’s seizing an opportunity to organize - in order to create a bit of chaos.
I was trained to emcee & crowd motivate before I actually knew how to blend two songs together. Not your most conventional way of getting in the wedding DJ business, but it worked for me since it gave me an outlet to treat many of my events as an opportunity to showcase my first loves, dancing & performing.
Dis 🍑 always being an inconvenience at an inconvenient time. (Still nailed the intro thoooooo 😆) Shout outs to the homey for literally saving my ass and getting the projector back up and running 😂

From a proposed epic wedding in Las Vegas - that was replaced by a Zoom wedding ceremony... To having to fully cancel their rescheduled date (because this pandemic truly sucks) and move their wedding to Tennessee...These two truly defined and overcame all the heartaches of being a B&G in a pandemic.
I remember video calling this couple in 2019 in talks of spinning for them, and with all the time that has passed, I feel forever linked to these two as well. I told them for their 5 year anny, they have no excuse but come back to LV and we do this as originally intended 🙃
So glad we finally effin did it live and in color. 🍾 showers & a little fireworks to you both, Kate & James!
Not for everyone (I get it, kinda) but for me, my soul needs to roam this earth. I need to dance and live in the music. And especially not endanger those who I love (and gon get this lovinnnnnn 😅)
Actually catching Covid (I did last Christmas) was a very painful and awful 12 days for me. I wish that on nobody. So at the very least, I hope this step - for me - is a positive one for anyone I have the pleasure to meet off and on the dance floor.

*Sound On* 🔊 In a world of “brands” and developing an Instagram storefront, we all find our little niche in how we post & market. And if it works, run a marathon with it. (Do you boo-boo) For myself, I can’t really quantify what I do with tag lines of “Most....Best.... Award-Winning...etc.” (I also don’t care) I think I would sell the experience, the show, or whatever, short with words, and not something genuine they can see, hear, and FEEL. It’s something I’ve told my clients: “You really won’t know, until you know.” And some graciously offer me the opportunity, and some walk away. Someday, I’ll be able to bottle it all up and sell it like hot cakes. Until then, investing in video equipment so I can get these little short clips will keep me in business... ...For just a little while longer. 😅
In between formalities & extraness, there’s something I enjoy just as much, the groove. It’s the point in my set where it’s just as important to let them do their thing, while I’m doing my thanggg. Literally, this is my workƒӀօա.
The “Cha Cha Slide” came out in 2000... So it’s been about 20 years that song has been providing excuses for manly grooms to drop it down for the cameras. What’s that new Vegas slogan? “What happens here, only happens here?” (Doesn’t quite roll off the tongue, but true, nonetheless)
One of the best advices I ever got when I got started was from a photographer. I looked at his still shots and said “Dude, I need to get your camera!!” and he immediately went “Oh man, it’s the Indian, not the bow & arrow.” And since then, I’ve long contended I’ll never let the “gear make me”. Oh don’t get it twisted, it’s absolutely nice to have fun toys to play with, but if you don’t give it heart & purpose, it all goes for nothing. So with that said, indoor cold sparklers are the new fad at special events. But I’ll be damned if I can’t find a better way to set off the fireworks for an epic couple. Light it up, yo. 🙃
