Nestled in the heart of Detroit, an iconic industrial city, Detroit Electrical Industry Training Center’s Instrumentation Lab stands as a testament to the commitment of the IBEW and NECA to further their members and the industry. Detroit EITC’s Instrumentation Lab stands out as a beacon of excellence. It seamlessly integrates hands-on experience with classroom curriculum, ensuring that instrumentation techs not only grasp theoretical knowledge (Part A) but also undergo valuable hands-on examinations (Part B).

Welcome to Camp NAWIC: Teaching Girls The Benefits of The Trades
Determined to shatter the barriers of gender stereotypes, National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) help pave the way for more women to join the industry through a week-long, hands-on training camp in San Diego known as Camp NAWIC.
For the past 15 years, Camp NAWIC (National Association of Women In Construction) has been an oasis of opportunity, offering a unique experience to high school-aged girls seeking to explore the world of construction.

Electric TV traveled to the west coast of Oregon where the TeleData project, a collaborative effort between IBEW 659 and Keyline Construction, is addressing the demand for fiber optic internet on the Oregon coast. Despite the challenging terrain, the skilled workforce of the IBEW and NECA took on the project, paving the way for improved connectivity in the region. Over 20,000 addresses in the region have benefited from the installation of fiber optic lines, enabling them to access high-speed internet services.
Residential construction is another focus of the NECA/IBEW Powering America Team. For every large project like a hospital or sports stadium, there are homes that need to be powered and families that need the IBEW to keep the lights on. With NECA contractors and IBEW members being a part of the craftsmanship for housing projects, residents in those areas can experience the professionalism, skill, and dedication that is a key element to the Powering America Team.
