SO, YOU'RE VERY CURIOUS ABOUT LINKING ARMS, YET YOU HAVE HESITATIONS:
I get it, that is very common, even though there are many who are full on ready to jump in with both feet! But I'm talking to YOU right now. 🙂
Here are some key reasons people can take a while to join the freedom train, get excited and say YES to join.
* I Don't Think I Can Sell:
That's ok, you don't have to! There is a team to support with this. AND, you can also learn as you earn. We teach ALL the skills. There is zero experience necessary. 😉
* My Husband / Partner Doesn't Want Me To Do It:
This is the biggest objection I hear & I feel sad when women don't move forward with their hearts desires simply because of this. 🙁 Let's chat if that's you, I'd love to support. Most ladies I find go ahead anyway if it feels right for them, asking for their partners support, NOT permission. I have seen time & time again the turn around when partner sees what's possible, either being able to retire themselves or even coming to join them in the business! Once you see this, you can't un-see it!
* It's A Pyramid Scheme:
It's not, it just isn't, & it's unfortunate that this area of income generation, this career path has had a bad rap in the past, (and there have been / are MANY models that simply suck!). Pyramid schemes are illegal. This company is celebrating 50 years next month & we are only just beginning! Nothing illegal there. People who join after you can absolutely out earn you.
* I'm Already In A Company That Has Affiliated Products:
That's ok, when you see this, the compensation plan, no yearly fees, no monthly quotas, no loosing ranksand no joining fees, you will see that the other models just don't compare.
* It's A Lot Of Money To Invest:
That's it. It is an investment. An Investment in yours & your family's health and wealth. It's an investment in yours & your family's future. The ROI is over $100K just for one product with all the savings you can make over it's lifespan, & that's before considering you can tap into the business attached to it that brings uncapped earning potential.

What is your WHY?
As a parent we want the best for our kids and as a mom we look for ways to create extra income.
I wish I knew the percentage of woman that have joined an mlm or NWM company.
It would have to be around 90%.
From Amway, Avon, Tupperware, Mary Kay, Thirty-One, Herbalife, Isagenix…. the list goes on and on.
My WHY when I started my first NWM business at 49 years old was my kids. I wanted to create a better life for them.
More money meant more choices.
Me being home building a home-based business meant more family time.
Or so I thought.
What I realized though was I was out of my home more and more.
Doing parties, product launches, promotions at events, dropping flyers, weekly meetings, customer follow-up calls, creating systems , recruiting people, and then training them.
This took up way too much of my time.
I loved the companies, I loved the products, I loved the friendships made and I was dedicated and loyal. That's who I am and this is one of my good traits. But here’s the thing!

Dedication and loyalty wasn’t making me any money, it was keeping me away from my kids, it was making me broke, me being dedicated and loyal to a company that was keeping me stuck was also destroying me.
So, when I decided to take a look at affiliate marketing, which is what I do now, I felt like I was cheating on the other company.

I had to break up with low ticket products, years of low ticket after low ticket had to end after 18 years😊.

What made this decision a lot easier was going back to my WHY.

Even though my kids have now grown up I still had a strong why, and that was to retire Dj and myself, again, and to help others do the same.

My WHY is also to create legacy income that our kids and grandkids can enjoy when I leave this earth.

So, what is your WHY, sit in a quiet room and go deep, write out what you’re feeling.

Why are you here?

As many of you know I’ve ventured with different businesses over the years.

I’ve always had a love for home based business as it’s been a great way to have a little extra side hobby and some months even bring in a little extra income.

A couple months ago though I saw a friend posting about something that caught my attention.

The more I saw, the more curious I got.

After connecting with that friend and learning more, I decided that this was something that really was a better fit for where we are at now and what our goals are.

David and I would love to do more traveling, have more time with the family, and let’s face it, to rise above this wild economy we are all living in.

I know so many of my friends are at different places in their lives and situations. Some in a job they love but that’s just not paying enough, others who are compensated nicely but have no time to enjoy it, many starting to look at the coming years and retirement doing the math and wondering if there’s enough to really live the retirement they want.

I don’t know if you’ll see what I saw in this but if any of this applies to you, I’d be happy to share the info that I was fortunate to run across and couldn’t unsee.

There seems to be a big shift going on right now. The first 5 posts to pop up on my feed were about "your circle" and how important it is to ensure you are spending time with people who are good for you! I've found this to be true and have had to remove myself from some of the people who were part of my circle for a long time. If you are still here, you are my peeps, and I certainly hope I add value, knowledge and encouragement to you, because YOU do all these things for me!

NO CASH ALLOWED! What is going on?
What do you think about businesses only taking plastic, no cash at all?
Recently David F. Johnston and I visited UT in Knoxville for a track meet. After the track meet I went into the coffee shop on campus while David went to get the car. I made two cups of coffee, went to the register to pay for the coffees. It was $8 and change. I pulled a twenty dollar bill out of my pocket to pay and the young lady, a student, said “We don’t take cash, only cards.”
I have been attending track meets for decades and I always stick cash in my pocket for the concession stand. But this time it wasn’t a good plan. I didn’t have my wallet and knew that putting the coffee back wasn’t an option.
Another pleasant lady approached me and asked if I was visiting a student on campus. I told her I was attending the track meet across the street. She politely said, “On campus we only accept cards, no cash is used anywhere. But don’t worry about it, we’ll take care of it.” Then the student cashier said, “I’ve gotcha.” And she pulled out her card to pay for my coffee.
I apologized profusely, thanked both the young cashier and the one I decided was a manager, apologized again and left the coffee shop.
What are your thoughts? This is the first time I have encountered this situation and it made we think. . .
What are your thoughts on businesses where only plastic is accepted as a form of payment?

Hey, let’s get to know each other a little better!

I haven’t shared about myself in a while, and I’ve made so many new connections here that I feel now is a good time to reintroduce myself.
If you have been here awhile, I genuinely appreciate you.
If you are just joining me, I appreciate you too and welcome you with an open heart.

I am Mary Beth. Through the years I’ve also been known as MB, Beth, Elizabeth, Liz, and Mom.

As a mom and wife, I am the steward of our home and our lives, striving to create a loving, accepting, charitable, inviting environment for our family and friends. I am once again married to my first husband, David Johnston. We were married when I was just 19 in 1977 and reconnected in 2002, became committed to each other in 2006 and officially remarried in 2022. I am a mom to three grown children who are entrepreneurs in their own right! Each of them pursues their own goals and dreams daily!

I am the middle child of Anna and Harold Farmer, both of whom were twins, which I always thought was unique and very cool. Both of my parents passed away too young and were never able to know my children, their grandchildren, something that has always saddened me. ☹

I am the middle sister of three girls who grew up being great friends. Our childhood was full of laughter, love, and adventure. I may not be “right next door’ but I’m always only a phone call away ready to give support and love - and often unsolicited advice 😊!

I am an aunt of 1 nephew and 3 nieces all of whom have found their own way in this world and are thriving! I am so proud of who each of them has become!

I am a friend to many whom I’ve known since childhood, many I’ve met in adulthood through my husbands, jobs and my many entrepreneurial ventures.

Currently I am a co-worker in a JOB I began last July when we found ourselves needing to regroup here in the states after an overseas adventure.

And last but not least, I consider myself blessed to also be a leader and mentor to many wonderful people I’ve met through the years as I’ve grown and developed into who I am today. As a leader, I strive to set an example of integrity, inspire confidence, encourage others, and instill a positive perspective daily. As a mentor, I aspire to offer guidance, motivation, encouragement, and emotional support as I help others find their path, just as I navigate my own.

I find that as I re-read books at different times in my life, I pick up different bits of information that hit me now that might not have before. This is a perfect example.

I’m reading Atomic Habits by James Clear (again) and came across a concept that I do, but didn’t know that it was a “thing.”
I do this to make life easier each day.
It’s considered “resetting the room.”
- After spending time reading in my corner chair, I put my book, notepad, pen,and highlighter back on the side table, fold up the blanket and put the pillows back in place.
- When I finish making my coffee / tea in the morning, I refill the water in both machines and wipe down the counter.

The idea is that whenever you organize a space for its intended purpose, you are priming it to be ready for the next time you use that space.

"Water is life and clean water means health." - Audrey Hepburn

For the first time in really long time, I'm excited to jump out of bed and get going every day! Two new discoveries have brought on this energetic morning attitude.

1) CHAIR YOGA! As someone who doesn’t enjoy typical workouts, I look forward to this morning habit so much that I’m excited to get up and get going! It's something I can do everyday, sometimes twice a day!

2) HYDROGEN WATER! I’ve been a proponent of purposefully drinking water for many years and have consumed oceans of it myself. Little did I know how much unhealthy stuff I was putting into and onto my body with tap water – both well water and city water, even bottled water and filtered water. Over the last year, as I have been experiencing some health issues, I’ve really researched what I am putting INTO and ONTO my body, especially the H2o, and I was horrified!

Recently David and I were introduced to a 50-year-old Japanese water technology that is rather commonplace in many parts of the world. The energy and mental alertness we have experoemced just from drinking the water has been a game changer for us, not to mention our noticeable skin improvements since filtering our shower water!

Back in the day. . . Boca Grande Old Days Alice and Anna were twins. Anna is my mom. I miss her dearly! She passed from Alzheimer's in 1998, originally mentioned in her medical records when she was 57, actually the day my daughter Laura D'Agostino was born. She lived 8 years going from being a healthy 57 year old to a shadow of a woman who looked 90 years old in that short time. I think when we lose a parent there are lots of "I wish I had. . ." thoughts. I wish I had spent more time with her after my dad passed away, I wish ther were medications then to slow the progression of that disease. I wish I had known that many of the elements she was exposed to caused the disease to move faster, the gmo and processed foods, the chemicals in everything from deodorant to cleaning products, even the water she drank every single day at our urging, to keep her hydrated.
If only. . .
We will do better, eat better, avoid toxins where we can, pay more attention to what we are being exposed to daily, and drink better water.
