Last year I took 16 weeks off (not all at once), but it made me reflect on why I love this career! I am very thankful to spend so much time with my family, especially while my kids are so little. Somehow I was able to manage 172 sessions while I wasn't off, but that is a story for another day!

Every once in a while I take on a shoot where I have complete creative freedom, it helps me from becoming jaded in this industry. There is a statistic, most photographers wont last past their first four years doing photography. Burnout, lack of business, stress, etc. When I mentor others, I like to express the importance of doing a shoot for yourself, it ignites the flame and encourages you to keep going, have fun and be creative!

Last week we took a quick trip to one of our favorite places, Tennessee. It has become a family tradition for us over the holidays, but this time we took a slower pace to our vacation. We made s'mores by the campfire, played board games, watched Christmas movies, and explored. It was a nice break for us and reminded me of what life was like when I was a child. I edited these photos in a way that represents that nostalgia.

You are cordially invited to an elegant styled shoot experience. Where we will embrace the love of cinematic poetry. We have curated two scenes, one of a romantically in love couple from the regency era and another of afternoon tea with two refined maidens. Our styled shoot will take place on the 9th of June in Lake Wales, FL. Hosted by the beautifully opulent @bellacosaweddings. We will have distinguished vendors to complete these beautiful scene scapes, cultivating an elevated experience for our photographers: Models: @teoandrach Venue: @bellacosaweddings Florist: @blooming.flowers.art Live Painting:@stellarlivepainting Violinist: @thestringsmithofficial Pet Handler: @furryventures_petcare Tea Time Tablescape: @saltedhaven Tickets are $350 and limited to 14 photographers. We will divide into two smaller groups of 7 per scene, as well as allowing one on one time per photographer.

California was incredible! We had 6 shoots lined up in 6 days, every single one of them unique in their own way. This mama was the first shoot in Carmel. The theme for this session was finding your own self love because, as we all know, it is hard to make time for ourselves in this busy world. Take time to find yourself, and love who you are.
