Mud Pit Studio is an animation studio based in Lafayette, Louisiana It is widely believed that that term mud was coined at this time.

As the story goes in 1901 at the Spindletop oil field, drillers ran a herd of cattle through a watered down field to create "mud" used to lubricate the drill. Mud Pit Studio focuses on oil and gas animation and interactive applications that help the industry with their marketing and training needs. At Mud Pit Studio, we animate till the cows come home.
