At today’s Erath High Pep Rally, Principal Dr. Belisa Smith announced that Erath native Nellie Broussard was chosen as the Homecoming Grand Marshal.
Ms. Nellie attended Erath High and graduated in 1971. She then went on to teach there 44 years. Currently she is still on campus almost daily as a substitute teacher. She truly bleeds blue and white!

It is it honor to have her represent our school as Grand Marshal for our upcoming 2024 Homecoming Festivities!

Kids ages 5-12 will have the chance to learn about aviation and explore career possibilities. Activities include games, contests, a tour of the airfield, drawings, fun jumps, slides, and a firefighting demonstration! Lunch is provided!
Spots are limited to 300 kids. Stay tuned for when registration opens!

Our shelter will be closing up early tomorrow, Thursday September 19th, as we will be hosting Bark in the Dark, our annual fundraising gala! We will only be open for adoptions 9am-12pm!
However, visit us every other week day 9am-5pm and meet cute, adoptable cats and dogs of all ages who would love nothing more than to make a home in your heart. ❤ We will also be at the PetSmart store off of Johnston St. this Saturday! Tragic story. Please keep your eyes open for this bad man...and help police bring justice for this 7 year old child....
On September 14, 2024, Officers responded to an incident where it was reported that a 7-year-old female had been r***d by a 44-year-old family friend. Upon investigation, detectives discovered that the 7-year-old had been r***d by Pedro Calix, H/M, 44 years old, on multiple occasions. Detectives attempted to locate Pedro but learned that he had fled the area.
A warrant for Pedro’s arrest has been obtained for: 1st Degree R**e.
Anyone with information is encouraged to submit a tip anonymously through Crime Stoppers Bayou Region by phone at 1-800-743-7433 or online at www.crimestoppersbr.org. Tipsters could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 in cash if the information leads to an arrest.
