Here are some forecast graphics that give an indication of where the highest chance of violent tornadoes will be this evening. The red areas is the forecasted swath of supercells. Keep in mind this is just a FORECAST. However, if you live along and north of I-44 and Hwy 412, the risk is greater. Updates will be posted as the day unfolds.

Friends, TODAY AND TONIGHT you MUST be paying attention to the weather situation across Oklahoma. You MUST have a plan in place in the event of a tornado especially if you live in a mobile or modular home. Have a place to go to well in advance of the warnings. We are expecting several LARGE and VIOLENT tornadoes this evening. The greatest threat to eastern Oklahoma will be after 7pm. Nighttime tornadoes are the worst scenario to be in so it is VITAL that you be aware of the weather conditions. Make sure your family has a safe spot and that everyone has something to protect your head such as a helmet or something similar. Safe Rooms, basements, and cellars are the best. Lowest floor, small interior rooms away from outside walls and windows, centrally located bathrooms, closets, hallways are best. Make sure everyone has and is wearing good sturdy shoes in case of debris and aftermath. Stay aware, calm and safe. I plan to stream cast at 7pm this evening and provide updates as needed. I primarily will be monitoring areas east of I-35.

Friends, for those of you in Eastern Oklahoma, you MUST pay attention to the weather on Saturday afternoon. It is likely that LARGE long track tornadoes will occur in Eastern Oklahoma. Make sure that you have a plan in place. NO mobile homes and NO vehicles are acceptable places of shelter during a tornado. If you do live in a mobile home, have a place to go to that is sturdier when the tornado watch is issued. If you wait for the warning, it's too late unless it's to a ditch or culvert. Make sure you have something to protect your head such as football helmets or something similar. Most fatalities are from severe head trauma. Again, make sure you are getting your weather information from RELIABLE sources and be prepared.

SUMMARY...Severe potential will probably remain confined to the
immediate coast through 1230 UTC. After sunrise, gradual
destabilization inland is expected during the morning and the threat
for severe will probably expand northward.
