THURSDAY, APRIL 25th
God filled my heart with so much greatness I literally had to take a moment , sit in his blessings and for once ENJOY it all.
That morning, it was announced that I landed 2 Emmy nominations. Continuing Coverage and Weekend Newscast 🏆
That afternoon, after an hour and a half of defending nearly 3 years of research. It was declared that I had passed my defense. The FINAL approval needed to OFFICIALLY obtain my Masters. 🎓
And Friday, I wrapped it up with a SPJ Award. Taking home 🥉 place for my work.

I had the pleasure of fulfilling a role so special to me. At the end of last year, I was asked to emcee Indiana’s AKA Day at the Capitol. Without any hesitation, I said, “Of course.” Tuesday was a day filled with so much love and support from Sorors across Indiana and parts of Illinois and Missouri who attended. A time was had as my beloved sorority continues to stand on the right side of social justice and be the change makers our communities need to see. How AMAZING it is to be a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 🩷💚

After nearly 3 years of living in Indianapolis, I FINALLY made it to my FIRST game. I must say it was an AMAZING home opener to kick off the season. Hated to see them walk away with an “L” but I have a feeling that this season will be one for the books!

I have not shared this with many, but my move to Indianapolis was more than just a career move. The BIGGEST reward moving here, it allowed me to do something that I have put off for MANY years. Last year, I was accepted into The University of Missouri graduate program for journalism. IYKYK this is a MAJOR stamp in journalism, one of the TOP schools of journalism in the nation.
It's been a TOUGH transition back into academia setting, and at one point, I tried to delay it again. But God said, Nah...we are doing this AG.
Last weekend during my visit on campus, I was told my graduation date is A LOT closer than I thought. I’M IN THE HOME STRETCH OF GETTING MY MASTER’S DEGREE. 💛✨
