Huntington City Council just unanimously adopted a resolution designating Juneteenth (June 19) as a legal holiday. Mayor Steve Williams signed the act into law immediately following the meeting. Huntington is among first cities in the country to approve Juneteenth as a legal holiday. You can watch the meeting in its entirety on this page.
