Boy With Box Theatre Company's first production will be "The 39 Steps." It runs this weekend at Center Theater Company in Carrboro.

Well, well, well... we're finally here! TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE for our premiere production, The 39 Steps!!

Here are Boy With Box, we at committed to presenting as many free theatre experiences as possible. In accordance with that mission, we are very excited to announce that tickets for the Saturday evening show will be Pay-What-You-Can. This means you can pay whatever amount you'd like to reserve your ticket, even if it's nothing at all. Tickets for all other shows will be $10.

From Camel City Playhouse, we spoke with Chris Cannon and Anna LaVenture about being a part of the cast of "Hair." We discussed Sunrise Live, the community theatre arm of Sunrise Theater in Southern Pines, with Amy Damone-Hammac, the director of their upcoming production of "The Sound of Music." The North Carolina Playwrights Lab and Capital Arts Theater Guild has two readings of new works this weekend: "Sitting For Suzie," by Albert Dulin, has its first reading on Saturday at 3:00, while "Sea Change," by Tamara Kissane, has its second reading on Sunday at 3:00. Both readings will be at the Theatre Raleigh studio theatre.

At her beach cottage on Pawleys Island, SC, Suzie Turner, nationally known painter, awaits the arrival of her son Grey, a Chicago heart surgeon. He is there to have his portrait done for a new hospital wing. As he sits for his mother, old wounds surface and painful secrets are revealed, all while a hurricane is about to hit the island.
