Today the Ryan P. Hendrix Bridge Dedication Ceremony took place at the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office. Now when we drive over or under the Highway 64 bridge, we will be reminded of the ultimate sacrifice Deputy Hendrix made on September 10, 2020, protecting our community.

We appreciate the work and leadership of Council Member Jennifer Hensley in making this bridge naming come to fruition. She collaborated with Sheriff Griffin, Henderson County, NCDOT, and other elected officials to ensure that Deputy Hendrix’s service is memorialized with the naming of the bridge.
