Trever here.. on a soap box😂.. Between recent friends finding some success and a moment on our last elk hunt. My mind has been reflecting as of late. Obviously, you’re seeing a lot of small
Town, DIY boys, hunting culture in these pics. Most of us are still pretty young too ;) .. Recently, while guiding a client, our dad hit us with the tear jerker, “sure am proud of you boys”. Referring to Ty and I packing a bull out, just the two of us, throughout the night, until 2am. We felt the impact. But we also fired back with a “you taught us”. That’s when it really hit. The importance of teaching. Passing down generational traditions. Ty and I both discussed if our kids will want to do it. Obviously we want them to and have started teaching them proper ethics and tradition. But their childhood looks a lot different than ours. It’s no coincidence some of my longest lasting friendships in this pics (sorry if I’ve missed some of you) are all enjoying the same thing. And at the center of it; mentorship. Fathers, uncles, or any other impactful elder who taught us the values, traits and skills and allowed us to learn for ourselves through trial and error. What an amazing thing. But what a delicate thing as well. Because you could very easily skip passing it on. It’s funny, someone asked me recently why we wanted to guide. Honestly, sometimes we ask ourselves that too, we dislike a lot of tactics we see being used by other outfitters and the idea of rich trigger men. But we also feel we can hold a place for those who need the help to fulfill a dream. In it for the right reasons and maybe even pass on some of the important values and ethics and leave feeling like they hunted with life long friends who were willing to work their guts out for them. We feel like that’s our niche. Cheers to traditions🍻

Deadhead found on our recent elk hunt we guided. Big 5, found dead a couple feet from a big wallo. Prob a fight that ended poorly for this ol boy.

General Season, Public Land, and a very tough unit. People on every ridge. This is a hard hunt. I was able to harvest my best buck to date. Archery Velvet Mule Deer, I’ve passed on them, missed them, had 1 million blown stalks. But this year, after taking last season off. I was able to make it happen. and the ol’ man there to share this moment with me. Thanks doesn’t say enough boys.

We finally did the deal. Decided to start our own Outfitting service. We’ve guided for years working with some great people. It was just time to start our own gig. The last few years we spent time guiding with and had some amazing hunts and met some great people. We are looking forward to continuing to do what the Ol’Man taught us. Ethics, Responsibility, dignity, passion, respect, and hard work is what you get when we are on a hunt. We want to walk away from our hunts knowing we put our all into it and made memories and life long friends in the process. Our website is up, and active. Please go check it out!

18 years…. Wasn’t what the original plan was. After years of putting in with a muzzleloader, at the 2022 WHCE a conversation took place that detailed that Josh was a lock to draw a Premium Archery Tag in Utah. That’s all it took to set up this hunt and mark it down on the calendar. After 15 days of failed plans, and target bulls not cooperating, day 16 it all came together. The bull of a lifetime within range, and Josh’s arrow found its mark. So many people to thank and be grateful for. This hunt was the perfect dose of Mountain Medicine needed for our group.
