I am supporting Monica Davis to return to her seat on the City Council representing Ward 3 -my WARD! Why? She is experienced, hardworking, professional, intelligent, and kind. Most importantly, she is deeply concerned about the issues affecting our community, more specifically the water issue, and our youth! I trust her to do the work for people! Vote Monica Davis for WARD 3!

Good Morning, my friends, this week has been filled with "pain and Joy!" As my mother would say, "That's life and who told you life would be easy!" It is how one recovers and remembers to "LEAN" on the Lord for strength. My first cousin, Octavia, passed, a classmate I recently saw at a birthday passed, my dear friend had a stroke (she is recovering), and learned that the front of my former church fell down in crumbles. This historic building has not been in the possession of former members for about five years. It was rudely taken over (unbeknownst to me) by others! Of course, the ongoing aches of pain a part of a growing older! Despite these things, I keep on trusting God and working to enhance my community. This is the space that I am the most joyful about! I finally realized that I am unable to participate in the "Walk for Harris" and other candidates because of my health condition! I will be standing on the sidelines supporting others and supporting others in many ways such as teaching Civics, encouraging others to VOTE for Freedom, Equal Justice for All, and helping folks to understand, if the "dark side" wins - our Freedoms are limited such as health care and book bans, etc. Love ya'll Vote Early and encourage others to do the same!

A week ago, I had to research TIM WALZ, (MN Gov) and wanted to know about his "politics." I was pleasantly surprised! However, I knew more about Josh Shapiro (PA)Gov and liked his "politics." I believe, VP Harris needed a safer "pick" and not a repeat of the "ruckus" of the 1968 Democratic convention. Dems cannot fight among themselves- "We ain't got time for this! Wonder what "deal" Shapiro got? Shapiro said he was ready to rock and roll all over Pennsylvania and the nation! Well, it is done! Now, who is going to create a Harris/Walz "line dance!" Now, it is time to get to Work to support the Harris/Walz Ticket! Are you ready? !

To God Be the Glory for what he has done and for what he is doing! Can't make it without his Grace and love! Below are my updates:

Wonder, if the "Orange man" paid those folks standing behind him at his Atlanta Rally? They were so busy looking at the monitor and getting on TV than listening to their favorite candidate! They were TRULY a "Mess!" This rally was "made" for TV!

READ (salon.com) AND heard that Billionaire Elon Musk is using Voter's personal data by "directing swing-state voters" to his organization's website to register instead of their state's website to support his 'fav' candidate! What is he doing with the data? Shame on Mr. Musk for deceiving people! I know he Got money and it is his money! However, according to my late Grandma Eva, "God don't like "UGLY" - deceiving folks is not the right thing to do! So, instead, in my opinion, spend money to do "Good" by supporting struggling folks wherever they are! I am a child and family advocate who uses my limited resources to help others, even though I live on a fixed income. Therefore, I find it difficult to understand why people with means don't do the same! My message to Mr. Musk and others- 'Please do the "Right Thing!" America needs your expertise and resources to strengthen our Democracy, and Freedoms for All people. Project 2025 hurts Everyone -not just the "Poor!"

The Late Maya Angelou, the great poet and author who has Arkansas roots said (paraphrase), "When people show you who they are, you better believe them!" Well, the National Association for Black Journalists - conference planners, should have known "45" was going to "clown!" He has demonstrated his dislike for Blacks, more specifically, for "Black women, over and over when he was President. His famous lines are " You are Nasty," That was a "Nasty" question, and more. Just writing this turns my stomach! So, why did NABJ subject 3 Black women to interview a man who does not respect women and more specifically, black women? Where was the Moderator? I have tons of questions. He and his "woman hater" VP nominee, Vance, have shown their "you know what!" Now, their new strategy is to talk about and demonize VP Harris' heritage which she has never denied. Her parents raised Kamala and her sister as black and raised them in black communities. Donald Trump, (most Americans are too) is ignorant regarding what is "Race" and its origins in America and World. You see, the white man decided, in most cases, a person who has a mere "drop" (not sure how much)-goggle it) of black blood he/she is black. Did this process make it easy for "slave holders," to sale their own children which were, in most cases, a result of r**e! Former President Obama who was raised by his white grandparents, declared after doing some "soul searching" and writing two books, his identity is black! Here we go again with "45"-the only strategy he got- "spread lies about VP Kamala's heritage! This is his targeted message to Black folks and Moderates. I am sure her campaign is creating a STRONG comeback! Summary: VP Kamala is of mixed heritage- eastern Indian and Jamaican descent (more than likely with roots from Africa). However, in America- Madam VP Harris is Black! Remember, who created the laws! Oh yes, there are documented court cases addressing this issue, more specifically, in New Orleans- Goggle it! Lord help us, Please!!

VP Harris said this at her political rally last night in Atlanta." I hope 45 heard her! Most African Americans know this iconic phrase very well and/or said it! How many times have you "mouthed" these words? So, beware, politician opponents what other 'clean' iconic phrases you might hear! WE got plenty! LOL

Dear God,
Lord our HAPPY, Frighten, and in tears! Why? Because our President had to leave the race. But Thrilled that A Black woman may become President! Lord, what are my parents thinking in Heaven! I am praying for her and our President Joe Biden who is ill and frail, but strong in Spirit! Lord, I thank him for leading us from despair during the Pandemic that took the lives of thousands of Americans. He strengthen our economy which is NOW one of the Best in the world! He was one of the BEST Presidents we have ever had! He is truly a President of us ALL! God, I pray Vice President Harris is the chosen one and that she chooses the Best man or woman to BEAT the Enemy and Keep our Democracy Strong! !

Have always loved this Frankie Beverly and Maze song, "We are One!" Read a post and someone said this song should be the "Black National Anthem!' I believe All Americans should listen to the lyrics, "and sing, "We are One and Love will see us through!" The beat is so very soulful!! When I heard this at the Maze concerts, I jumped up and danced the "Happy Dance." LOL

"Dear God, We have not learned the simple ART of Living together as brothers" as stated by The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Today, our focus is on the acquisition of wealth, guns, and more by "any means necessary." Nothing is wrong with being wealthy and living comfortably, but if America does not have a Democracy-"Rights for All" and no freedoms? What will happen to America? We cannot take our material possessions to our graves? God, can a Zebra change its stripes? Can we trust those who say they will change to become more passionate when their proposed policies say something differently? God, I only trust you! Only you are in control- in your time we will understand! Thank you God for your love, and wisdom. I pray we learn how to live together as brothers and sisters-peacefully! for peace and less violence and guns!

I know you are in Control! Please guide our judges, American citizens, and politicians to do the "Right Things" that are pleasing in your sight! God, help me to have a clean heart, patient, peaceful, loving, and kind to everyone! More specifically, remain woke, and wise to know those who mean harm- not just to me, but others too! In your son Jesus' name! Hear my Plea! Amen!

Eliza Miller Junior and Senior High School (1955, 1955-1970), is now on the National Registry under Criterion A: Education and Ethnic Heritage: Black with local significance on December 6, 2023. The HWH was one of the last school districts in Arkansas to desegregate its facilities in 1970. Eliza Miller was an important part of the educational system in the HWH, where thousands of black students/alumni utilized their skills to become successful and productive citizens in the state, nation, and throughout the world!
I am thanking God for Eliza Ann Ross Miller, Founder, of the first high school for African Americans (1925-1970) in Helena, AR for having a dream to build this school for her people. According to her great-grandson, the late Granville Miller, in a commemorative souvenir booklet, Mrs. Miller wanted to donate money to build a high school that went beyond 8th grade. Mrs. Miller had a dream/vision for her people to become successful and more educated like her. Yes, her dream came to fruition! Now, it is our responsibility to continue and enhance this dream in the context of Now and the future! The West Side Community Hub, Inc. with your input and engagement will help make EM's Events memorable! A little tease-Tennyson Price (1970) LAST GRADUATING CLASS AT
