Kristina:
You can't blame me for wanting out of this god forsaken town. Theres no getting out and i'm just itching for an escape. away from the faces of the people stuck here pretending to be happy and perfect. Like my Family, there all alike, trippings my only way to escape. Its how i leave this whole place behind, how i can be perfect, and happy, and bulletproof. And you better not judge me until you step in my shoes and try and live my life. Its not all sunshine and rainbows!

Jan:
I tell myself it’s not my fault. Not my fault that Kristina’s always hiding in her room, in her head, in whatever it is she’s smoking tonight. It can’t be my fault because Pauley turned out just fine.
It must be something wrong with her.
But she’s always hiding away like some mistake and i just don't make mistakes! And it hurts to think that way. It can't be my fault that she doesn’t trust her own mother enough to tell me what she’s hiding from. I guess shell just tell me when she's ready…oh well.

George:
There’s something going on with Kristina. I don’t know what, and I don’t really want to know.
As long as she keeps passing at the college I’m paying for, doesn’t lose her job at the restaurant, and keeps any illegal habits outside my house, then I’ll let her be.
Only thing I’m really worried about is that she might drag Paul down into all her mess. It’s not likely, though. The boy’s got too good a head on his shoulders.

Steven:
Everybody knows. The guys pick on me about it when they notice me sitting next to them on the bench. Everybody know I’ve fallen for Kristina.
I try to focus on school, on homework or the games, but I can never ignore her.
She’s always off somewhere in her head I wish I could follow.
Her eyes are so beautiful. Even with them closed, she sees more than the rest of us.
I only wish she saw me.

Denis:
I care plenty about myself.
You hand me the money, and I hand you the gear. It’s just good business. I don’t need to care about you, and you don’t need to care about me.
Unless you’re thinking about taking and not paying. Then you better care about me a whole lot.
'Cause then I’ll be coming for you.

Paul with Jan and George:
(sitting at the dinner table doing homework while jan is prepping dinner while george is watching the game)
Jan: Pauley have you done your homework yet?
Paul: Mom please don't call me Pauley!
Beat
Yeah but i'm stuck on math, i could really use Kristina's help, but she's not here, she's never here!
George: Stop worrying about your sister, its her age, she'll get here when she gets here and you can ask her then.
Jan: Oh Paul you know she failed that subject!
Paul: I like the way she would explain the problems to me. For example you can get a dime with Jackson which equals four lincolns.
Jan:(slapping the dishtowel down) We do not talk about such filth in this house hold young man!
George: (chuckle in the background)
Paul: I don't see how thats…
George: (cuts him off mid sentence) Why don't you go finish your homework in your bedroom.
Jan: Ill let you know when dinners ready.

Character list for upcoming short film:

Woman Kristina 19-23: very troubled, surprisingly innocent tough girl, waitress or greater/ cashier person, tech school C- student, smoker, pot, she wants to be somewhere else all the time, never happy with her current situation and that leads her to hallucinogens, she doesn't like that her parents like Paul and that puts a block between them. willing to be in very tough situations. no nudity

Little brother Paul (Pauley): upset on how she's living her life and guilts her on a daily basis

parents aged 45-55 Jan and George: white bread, typical suburban home, they approve in Paul.

Man Steven: D***y like, following the girl like a puppy, he loves her and she doesn't even see it, c string athlete, A+ student, comes from a broken home.

Denis: meth/drug dealer, 30's looking, look like a drug addict, willing to attack a girl (very controlled environment)

Evil character Scarecrow type looking: Tall, muscular, very intimidating. Willing to chase and toss around a girl, being very violent (This will be very choreographed to insure everyones safety)

Doctor: any age, matter of fact, no sympathy

Background people: coworks, nurses, athletes, drivers, teachers, preppy mean girls, drug addicts, little baby kid, trashy women, extra parents for steven
