Yesterday was one of the hardest days and most cathartic days I've had since John's passing. The past months haven't gone untaxing putting this together with help of a lot of great people and the bands.

But seeing all (a lot) my hardcore family be there and filling the room with so much love for him and Penny and I was beyond anything I could ever feel again. John was forsure there last night I felt him in every band, every person I hugged and all the memories I heard.
I love you all.

This morning John wasnt feeling well and we went to the hospital. His lungs were filled with C02 they tried to stabilize him but he went into cardiac arrest and didnt respond to CPR.

John passed away peacefully after a long battle with his health the past years.

Penny and I are doing as well as you can except. Keep us in your thoughts and please know i wont be super available to everyone. I will try to reply, answer and whatever but its a process. Thank you for your understanding.

(vocals) that was a silly sketch I did when I first got my drawing project for his solo project Cadillac Hearse when it was still called Toothless Gospel. my daughter Penny always referred to him as sneaky Dustin. so for her amusement, I worked sneaky Dustin into the layout/packaging. so if you ever noticed that li sketch and wondered WTF? now you know. it was to crack up my four year old then/eleven year old now daughter randomly popping him out peek a boo style

so earlier this week our water heater sold/installed in our home in 1999 s**t out on us. (it lived a goof life). thankfully my dad was able to install it for us. unfortunately the water heater costed $599 (onto the ol credit card it goes)

then two days later our air conditioning is on the fritz. once again my dad knew someone to help out. one old dated freon they no longer make purchased, one compressor part, telling us whole thing is a ticking timebomb that will most likely 'splode itself within a year or less, cost about $5000-7000 with everything needed swapped to modern components and another $500 we can not afford to pay thrown on da credit card.

house is now cool and no longer humid AF at least and I am still alice (both a positive and a negative depending on who you ask)

life can really chill the f**k out any fu***ng time now.

a lot of local bands in the triad region (Greensboro/Winston-=Salem, NC ands further out to Charlotte/Raleigh and small towns in between) in the late 1990s/early 2000s heavily tried to emulate local heavyweights Prayer for Cleansings style but very few executed it with such talent.
Far From Forgiven was the one far ahead of the pack.

so our wonderful daughter who is dearly loved, in spite of being told 500 times still likes to use half a roll of toilet paper every time she uses the bathroom in spite of having wet wipes if it is that stubborn, finally clogged the toilet in a way, no amount of plunging or snaking worked loose. so tomorrow it is going to be $300 just for them to come out and look at it, not counting fixing it. seems like it is in the main line and they'll have to remove the toilet then reseat/seal it after. we are not looking forward to this bill that should not have happened in the first place. she will probably learn her lesson when it comes out of her jar of savings for space camp.

my friend Keith Kramer's son Isiah (who is twelve years old. a year older than my daughter)) getting to get handed the mic/do vocals on for Advent at the end of the song Revival is one of the coolest/most wholesome things you'll see all month.

sad I didn't get to see it in person. he was so sad the last show got shut down, that I wanted to bawl for him. you might say it was one crushing blow. his favorite band and he had never got to see them live. now he can say he did vocals for them live.

I have no doubt this made up for it x100 li homey had to be on cloud nine. he is going to cherish that forever as will Keith. I hope one day he fronts a band and it's all thanks to Joe, but also Keith being a cool dad!

took the van in even though we don't have enough money to fix it we are putting the repairs on our credit card because we are living dangerously and we can't have the transmission break completely.
