* At 650 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast
of Lipan, or 15 miles northwest of Granbury, moving east at 15 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
to roofs, siding, and trees.
* Locations impacted include...
Weatherford, Granbury, Willow Park, Aledo, Hudson Oaks, Annetta,
Lipan, Oak Trail Shores, Annetta South and Annetta North.
This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 392 and 401, and
between mile markers 403 and 419.

For your protection get inside a sturdy structure and stay away from
windows.
Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Move indoors immediately. Lightning can kill.
Heavy rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash

At 203 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Pecan Acres, or near Briar, moving south at 10 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

southwestern Erath, northwestern Coryell, north central Lampasas,

At 944 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles northwest of Stephenville to 9 miles
northeast of Gustine to 12 miles northwest of Gatesville. Movement
was southwest at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects.

Dinosaur Valley State Park, or 17 miles south of Granbury, moving
west at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Tolar.

a line extending from 9 miles southwest of Terral to 6 miles south of
Forestburg. Movement was south at 15 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and half inch hail.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
possible.

Lots of lightning with this storm as it moves E/NE through Tarrant County. Watch for flooding in the normal areas.

Not a bad way to end August!!!! Watch for minor flooding! Much more in the way tomorrow and I’ll have an update out on that soon.
Heavy Rain moving through Dallas County and will soon move into Ellis County. Eatch for ponding in the roadways.
Scattered showers and downpours have developed across North Texas. Not expecting any severe weather but very minor flooding is possible.
Still lots of rain out there with a lot more to come. Some areas have picked up 12” of rain. Many roads and highways area flooded and closed so please give yourself plenty of time to commute. Do NOT drive through high water. There has been dozens of high water rescues overnight with several high water rescues ongoing. TURN AROUND DON’T DROWN!!

* Until 115 AM CDT.
* At 1251 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a
tornado was located near Itasca, or 9 miles north of Hillsboro,
moving east at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Tornado.
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.
* This dangerous storm will be near...
Carl's Corner around 115 AM CDT.
Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Milford.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.
Extreme lightning with this storm! Also some slight rotation so watch closely.
Our next round of showers and storms are already forming in West Texas and moving this way. We will receive a brief break before this round arrives. This round will certainly create flooding issues. please use extreme caution during the morning commute! TURN AROUND DON’T DROWN!!!!
