Important Message for Families and Staff at the Spencer Borden Elementary School

Earlier today students and staff at the Spencer Borden Elementary School had to evacuate the building due to a small fire in one of the school's utility areas. Students and staff did an excellent job exiting quickly and safely.

Our district facilities team and our city partners are working to ensure the building is fully cleaned and safe for occupancy. Because of this, ALL PreK-5th grade students and staff AT SPENCER BORDEN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL will have NO SCHOOL tomorrow, November 7, 2024.

At this time, we do not anticipate needing to cancel school on Friday, but we will send a follow-up message to families and staff via ParentSquare tomorrow afternoon.

A special thank you goes out to our first responders, school and district staff for their quick actions today which ensured the safety of our school community

Important Note: All student belongings are safe and secured in classrooms and lockers, and will be ready for pick-up upon their return.

Students in our TV1 – Basics of TV Production class learn how to write, voice, host, film, and edit their first project titled, “Who Am I?”. Every student in the class completed a project, some more in-depth than others. Regardless, it was a wonderful, fun way to learn a little about each student, and teach them the basic fundamentals of shot composition, writing their story, and editing in Adobe Premier too. Kudos to each of these students. 

Students in TV1 created their first projects in class. Enjoy.

Yesterday was International Walk to School Day, and once again, Fall River Public Schools had 100 percent participation… with every school involved!
This year, we tagged-along with the Tansey Elementary School group, which gathered at North Park and walked the more than 1/2 mile route to the school.
