A milestone has been reached. Awards have now been given to me for a book, film, screenplay, and a poem. All of the forms of writing I have pursued over the past twelve years. As a non-competitive person, I now retire from the world of submitting to festivals. One could say the goal has been reached, except I’m still a million dollars shy of a million dollars, but most writers are. Now on to creating interesting quilts, making it through life with a smile, and continuing to sing and dance up a storm. I'll still help anyone who wants to create a book with Blazing Star Books.

This last award is for the poem "The Blue Buffalo" which was inspired by the dream which became a painting by Patty Sjolin.

Elaine is proud to announce she has two poems in this prestigious anthology produced by the Austin International Poetry Festival. The event, which was to be in April, was cancelled due to COVID-19, but the book arrived in the mail and will be cherished.
