Cement truck rolled over and trapping the driver and also trapping his leg under the truck. The fire department had to lift the truck to safely get his leg from underneath the truck. The incident took about an hour to safely lift up the 80,000 pound cement truck. The driver was in stable condition the whole time and was transported to a local hospital.

MCTXSheriff Arrests Two for Attempted Theft of an ATM

On April 28, 2023, at around 3:05 am, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to an ATM alarm for the Bank of America located at 4085 College Park Drive in Spring. While en route, Deputies were informed that employees of the alarm company were viewing a live surveillance feed of two males attempting to break into the ATM using different tools. The employees also provided a detailed description of the males.

Deputies arrived at the bank and discovered the ATM had damage which consisted of pry and saw marks, and the suspects had already left the immediate area. A perimeter was set up at a nearby wooded area, where one male was quickly found lying in the brush to avoid detection. After a brief search in the wooded area with assistance from one of our K9 Units, the second male was found. During the detention of the second male, he resisted Deputies and was bitten by the canine.

The suspects, who matched the descriptions provided by the alarm company, were identified as 61-year-old Ricky Garcia and 37-year-old Lazaro Garcia. They were transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where they were charged with Felony Theft.

Last night around 8 PM a shooting occurred just south of the intersection of Gibbs Sprawl Rd & Rittiman rd. After the shooting the vehicle, which was a white Lincoln navigator continue to roll across Gibbs Sprawl Rd and ended up in the bushes just east of the Circle K. Police say the victim was rushed to the nearest hospital and died upon arrival.
Authority launched a helicopter and was able to circle the area to search for the suspect and also had patrol units searching. The results came up empty and the suspect is still at large with no description of the time.

16-year-old male shot in the back of a car and was able to escape, but passed away from his injuries less than 200 feet away from the incident.

Good evening y’all

There was a car traveling southbound near the 3200 block of Meridian Road when it veered off to the left, ending up in the ditch and then the vehicle continued to drive in the ditch for over 300 yards before coming to abrupt stop by a pole. The car was heavily damaged causing a powerline to end up in the road.. Com-ed was called but power was not affected.

The driver, who is yet to be released, told the police that he does not remember what happened because he was sleeping. An officer stated that the suspect was in fact, intoxicated, but the officer did not state what they were charge in the suspect with. But he was under arrest, pending in investigation and possible blood draw.

Just a normal day here in Rockford and another shooting that took place.

A female is in custody and one victim in the hospital with gunshot wounds, unsure of the status of that victim. This happened at 700 block of Kent St. in Rockford Illinois.
