In 2020 over twenty-five FEARLESS youth from across the United States virtualy convened together to receive training on interviewing skills, and making promos in preparation for the 2020 Presidential election and National Nalia Day 2020.
Over 40 members of the D9 were interviewed by this brand new crew of budding youth journalists.
Starting today, there is an Open-Call for D9 youth in our local communities to join the 2024 Youth Journalism Crew for National Nalia Day 2024.
If you would like to recommend an interested youth from your community or school to participate in this election season's virtual journalism project....please do the following:

2. After inboxing, go back to her personal profile:. Angelika Jo. There, you will see a "Youth Journalists Recommendation" thread.
Please follow the directions to let her know to check her inbox.
REMINDER ABOUT THE YOUTH YOU RECOMMEND:
1. May be any age up to 18 years old (up to 12th grade) with a good speaking voice for their age, and willing to participate.
2. It May be your own child
3. If it is a student / Youth from your community, or any youth who is not your own child, Please provide the following telephone number to their parent(s): 907-312-3242 (Dr. Smith-Jones) before recommending them. We will only respond to the parents who contact us.
We look forward to working with the 2024 Class of Youth Journalists for National Nalia Day (which now will be the day before elections, Monday, November 4, 2024).
