DJ NUCLEAR
Detroit born now Residing in Atlanta, GA, DJ Nuclear had a passion for music at an early age and that passion would take him on a unforgettable journey that he still embraces today. When he was 10 years old, he DJ'd at his mom’s basement parties, that were common in Flint MI, the city where it all began. Another commonality were DJ’s that could rap and rappers that could DJ, and
those two talents fit DJ Nuclear like hand in glove, which became very apparent while in high school. As with most teens, their interests changed and so did the members of the group, but that didn’t stop the progress for long. DJ Nuclear always believed in having a plan B and it didn't take long before his good friend replaced his brother's friend in their group, “MCM”. Over a period of time with life's highs and lows, they toured with rap artists such as, MC Breed, Too Short, 2nd II None and DJ Quik. The touring period was short-lived and life changing, but the lessons learned would prepare him for the next steps of his journey. The journey consisted of DJ Nuclear relocating to Atlanta, GA and within a week, and now going by the name DJ Nuclear, he was doing what he began at 10 years old, spinning records, but this time around, it wasn't in the dark basement of a a brownstone house; it was in a club with bright lights. Life is a full circle and he soon reconnected with childhood friend, Atlanta Falcons NFL Player, Andre` Rison, who also had an interest in music, in addition to major connections in the ATL black music scene. DJ Nuclear had been a rapper and DJ, and now he decided to get involve with managing artists. Managing artists was a piece of cake, because he understood the music business, listened to all genres of music and once upon a time, was an artist himself. It was during that time that he met singer and phenomenal songwriter, Muni Long aka Priscilla Renea. "Artistically she was so easy to work with. At first, I had a hard time reaching her due to her age, but a friend of multi-platinum recording artist, Akon, made it happen,” says DJ Nuclear. Managing was cool, but he moved on from managing, but if the right person came along with original music and what he calls, "MY IT FACTOR", he would consider it. DJ Nuclear became a DJ for Tony Dofat on a platform called DOFAT TV who was the multiplatinum producer for Sean Diddy Combs (Puffy) of Bad Boy Records, Mary J Blige, And Heavy D just to name a few. He has a lot of ideas and understands strategic planning, therefore, his passion and experience in the game will take him far. He understands the value and power of radio for artists and the appreciation of great radio for the listeners. "Radio has become so watered down and political. The public is tired of hearing the same 20-30 songs over and over again. There is so much great music and amazing artists and I feel they deserve a platform that respects them and believes in their music," says DJ Nuclear.
