A new mural was unveiled today in downtown DeKalb! The brand new Veterans Memorial Mural was dedicated at a beautiful celebration! We heard from several different organizations and Veterans, including our Mayor, and got to learn a little background of this beautiful piece of art. Its called “What These Boots Have Seen.” Next time you’re walking around downtown, make sure you check it out! It’s on the back of the Plaza DeKalb building on Palmer Court and Second street. The United Way Kishwaukee kicked off their Day Of Caring Give Back Event this morning! You might see people out and about in the community doing volunteer work throughout the day.
