Charles “Chuck” Rose, an NIU Law alum, former Sycamore lawyer and police officer was hired by NIU Students’ Legal Assistance (SLA) as their new attorney.

Rose will begin work on Feb. 1 and is replacing Joseph Lovelace who ended his work as the NIU SLA attorney on Nov. 30.

Walker retired in 2018 and is a former NIU professor in the department of Geology and Environmental Sciences.
