President and Owner Darren Zancan earned his bachelor's degree in journalism and broadcast electronic media at Eastern Kentucky University. He earned his master's program in business journalism, with a video concentration, at the prestigious Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in the summer of 2012. He is an award-winning journalist, capturing Kentucky Press Association honors o

n several occasions. His awards include Best Sports Story, Best Sports Column, Best Editorial Page, Best Front Page Design, Best Ongoing Coverage and Best Sports Page. In 2007, Zancan won the reality TV show "I Wanna Be a Soapstar," earning a role on the hit daytime TV show "Days of Our Lives." He's also appeared in several commercials, TV shows and a handful of movies. In 2008, Zancan worked in radio in Lexington doing weather and news updates, along with several commercial segments for ESPN 1300, 96.1 FM and 107.9 FM. With more than 10 years of journalism and video experience, he found his passion in videography, which resulted in starting his own company DMZ Video Productions, LLC., in 2012.

LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!

We are casting a handful of lead roles as we begin filming the sizzle reel for DMZ Productions original movie "The Christmas Dreamer."

All of the roles range in age from 25-to-35 years old with significant speaking lines. We are looking to film four scenes throughout August in preparation for pitching to some executives later in the fall.

Filming will take place in NW Indiana.

MAJOR NEWS!!!

We are expanding our DMZ Productions studio. Starting July 1, we will stay in our current office and take over the connecting studio. This will double our space from 2,000 to 4,000 square feet.

The long-term goal is to build or buy a building to create a mega studio. For now, we continue to expand.

This is a huge step in our growth, and will allow us to provide excellent care for our partners along with producing more original content!

This is a testiment to the hard work we’ve done over the last decade to be the go-to production company in the Midwest.

During our recent interview session for History Alive, we asked Dwight Snethen what the art deco movie theater that sits in Fowler, Ind., meant to him.

He's volunteered thousands of hours - along with board members and other volunteers - to make sure movies are playing every weekend.

This has become a second home to us, so if you're in the area, stop by, grab a popcorn, and see a movie. You won't regret it.

Welcome BACK to the team, Taylor!

In 2020, Taylor spent a year interning for us. During that time, we knew she was going to become a star. She left for a full-time position, but we've always kept in touch over the years.

Now she's returning as a graphic designer to help assist in several areas.

A graphic designer with 5 years of experience in the Sports Marketing & Graphic Design Industry, Taylor is a University of Kentucky graduate earning a Bachelor of Science in Integrated Strategic Communication with a minor in Business. She is also an Adobe Certified Professional in Visual Design.

"I’m fueled by my passion to dream big and swing past the fences. When you can’t get ahold of me, you can find me playing in a co-ed slow-pitch league, coaching fast-pitch softball, or spending time with my family, friends, and dog Buddy!"
