I want to thank 3 friends in Alaska that saw me struggling with my high school studies and offered to help. They spent their lunch times and summer hours for a year or more to tutor me twice in Algebra and in Geometry. Linda Bowdre and Phil Holbrook - the investment you made gave me the ability to go to college and study Radio/TV. Because of you two, and Ken for taking us on a radio station field trip - I’ve had a career in radio for nearly 35 years. Thank you for your generous patience in helping me understand what I needed to learn, I’ve never forgotten your kindness towards me. Because of you, I’ve been able to share about God’s love and the Hope of Christ with millions over the years. If you wouldn’t have tutored me, college would have never happened.

When you give the gift of your time - you are truly giving the gift of God’s love. Thank you!

A really good friend of mine passed away this afternoon. He made sure I wasn’t alone after my brother took his life and I returned to college within 2 weeks. He took me to see Rick Cua who was ministering to young kids who were suicidal. I cried so hard at that concert and Damon made sure I had the immense honor of meeting Rick and having him sign my brother’s bluejean jacket. My friend also gave me the spatula that broke recently that I shared on social media. I worked at KORU with him for a couple years and then did voice work for his business for many years after.
Damon Hancock this world seems a bit dimmer today with you no longer being here. Heaven is rejoicing though with your arrival - and thankfully we have that hope of seeing you again. Blessings and prayer of comfort to the entire Hancock family. You are so loved.
