I want to take a minute and share something that is near and dear to my heart. When I was a teenager, my brother was diagnosed with Leukemia. He survived thankfully, although with lasting complications. It took him years to be able to walk again. Now he walks every year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The charity really helped out my family during that difficult time and the recovery after. If you’re able, please consider donating to this worthy cause and help my brother’s team hit their goal!

Today’s tip is do your research on a regular basis!

A big part of maintaining social media accounts (and part of a social media manager’s job) is research. Knowing trends, hashtags, social listening, and keeping up to date on the latest developments and technologies will go a long way towards growing your social media. It’s work that people usually don’t see, but it’s extremely important for a successful brand. Doing your research means your posts, videos, and ads are relevant, engaging, and deliver the right message to the right people.

Today’s - Choose Your Social Media Platforms Wisely!

It’s not necessary to be available on all social media platforms, but what matters is to create an impact on a few that you are present on.

If your brand’s Instagram marketing strategy works the best, then focus all your efforts on that. Its better to ace one platform than try to be the jack/jill of them all.

Quality > Quantity

Putting out substandard content will only make things worse for you. Instead, research and plan your social media presence to align with your goals and appeal to your target audience. Focus on the platforms that are preferred by your target demographic for the best results!
