Rogers Park News loves local. On the third night inside his apartment, he was woken by thundering fireworks near Sheridan and Pratt.

The idea for Rogers Park News sparked in the mind of website founder Benjamin Woodard after just a few days living in the neighborhood. Confused and curious, he thought a quick Google search the next day would explain the peculiar midnight pyrotechnic show. But the search brought up zero results.
