This month, Greentarget DEI Book Club would like to highlight one of the most memorable stories we’ve had the opportunity to read and discuss. “Ida B. the Queen” by Michelle Duster, recounts the life of Ida B. Wells, a fearless journalist and activist who fought tirelessly for civil rights and equality. Her legacy reminds us that every individual has the power to make the world a better place ✊

Last year, we had the privilege of hosting in our Chicago office for an engaging discussion on her book.

And next up, we’re reading the story of Haben Girma who defied all odds and became the first deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law School. Excited for that conversation in a few weeks and based on early reports, it is a book that we’ll want to add to our “highly recommend” list 📝

Last Friday, a group of GT team gathered around to kick off giving season the right way. 🙏

We prepared breakfast bags and handwritten comfort cards for guests at . Breakfast bags are extremely important because visitors sometimes don’t have the time, the energy to eat in such distressed times.

Some of us were lucky enough to talk with a guest there and feel how much of an impact we can make to the community there - one breakfast at a time.
