Meet Martell 🎥

Martell B. Hall is a Chicago-born film director and television producer who studied film and
business at Northern Illinois University, Columbia College (Chicago), and Chicago State
University. His career in the film industry began in 2013 when he worked as a production
assistant for the Judge Mathis show. Four years later, in 2017, Martell went on to work as an
associate producer for The Steve Harvey Show, for which Mr. Harvey won the 44th annual
Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Informative Talk Show Host. Then, in 2018, he took the
entrepreneurial leap and started Genius Media Company, which focuses on photography,
television, and film. Recently, Martell directed his first feature, Tagged (2022), an urban thriller
about a Chicago-based street artist framed for murder. Tagged is currently available for
streaming on Amazon Prime and Tubi. When Martell is not actively working on a project, he
spends much of his time with his family and friends, who inspire his cinematographic vision.
When not working, watching films, or reading, he also enjoys cycling, visiting museums, and
attending festivals and concerts. Much like the time he spends with his family and diverse group
of friends, these activities also influence his creative decisions and provide him with insight into
different cultures and perspectives.

Graphic Design with Civic Studios @ ASM Gately Park continued with action-packed activities and recognition. Saturday it was all about “The Power of the Pumpkin”! A HUGE thank you to UNICEF USA for surprising the Gately crew with an amazing Cake from Brown Sugar Bakery!

Last week our teens had the amazing opportunity to work with on a new exciting project they are getting ready to launch in 2024! There is no better way than to prepare for the future than with hands-on real world experience, and we are so thankful for our generous partners for helping provide these opportunities!
