Around This Town

Around This Town Join us each Tuesday from 4-7pm as we throw our musical nets over the acts coming to the Central VA area, and even pull a few of them in to play live.

Around This Town is WTJU's way of letting listeners hear about all the great LIVE music that we have in this town, almost every night. Whether it be a long-standing local band, an up-and-coming group who's on tour from afar, a brand new band from our area who's just starting to get on the local scene, or larger acts we've all known and loved, ATT and its announcers select songs to help highlight b

ands that have performances coming up in the Charlottesville area. If you would like your concert included, please e-mail the details (including venue, date, time) to [email protected]. CDs should be mailed to:
WTJU 91.1 FM
Attn: Folk Dept
PO Box 400811
Charlottesville VA 22904-4811

Requests for in-studios at WTJU should be sent to [email protected].

Still a few MerleFest four day general passes available for a donation to the 2024 WTJU Folk Marathon in support of WTJU. You can pick one up for only $200. That is about $50 less than what you would pay at Merlefest after surcharges and such. check out the full schedule at merlefest.org.

Interested in a four day pass well below market value? Comment below. It's a win win.
