There is no basketball without ankle-breakers and broken ankles. Unfortunately, LaMelo Ball has history with both.

LaMelo believes he's "not from here" but if wants to reach his potential, he has to look at a proven blueprint from here.

Steph Curry spent a majority of his early career dealing with the same ankle issues. They were so bad, Steph actually considered early retirement.

But then Steph got in the gym. Like, really got in the gym. Like, could deadlift more than twice his bodyweight and run on his ankles for miles in the gym.

And what came out of the gym was one of the greatest basketball players we've ever seen. Something LaMelo probably fully believes he's capable of becoming one day too. And if that's true, he needs to take a similar leap.

LaMelo didn't get drafted by the Golden State Warriors.

But he can learn from one.
