Did you know that Charlotte is the Pimento Cheese Capital of the World. 🧀

Ruth’s Salads, based in Charlotte on Freedom Rd, produces 45,000 pounds of deli salads and spreads, the most in the Southeast.

Founded in 1953, the company started by selling Ruth Ross's recipes. When Bob and June Miller took over, they continued making Ruth’s pimento cheese, chicken salad, coleslaw, and chili in a small kitchen on Wilkinson Boulevard. Today, Ruth's Salads remains one of Charlotte’s oldest family-owned businesses.

New regulations are expected in the cosmetic industry. Just watched on the news this morning.
The last time there were regulations was in 2022 - if you have had any problems or reactions to cosmetic or other beauty products, should report within 15 days.

The Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act of 2022 (MoCRA) is the most significant expansion of FDA's authority to regulate cosmetics since the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic (FD&C) Act was passed in 1938.

Reminiscing with my sister and hanging out with my friend - Denise, my sister Kat reminded me the time I forgot my dog child 🧒 at her house.
Yea long time ago I packed up the car after a wonderful weekend at the beach and I get to Pawleys Island or close to there. The phone rings - it’s Kat- she says Candy didn’t you forget something ? I said I don’t think so - kat says, what about your dog child? I said, oh no my Viscious dog. I quickly turned around. I said well, that maybe why I don’t have any kids. Kat then said the funniest thing !!! Yea if you had any kids - they would have probably been on the side of milk cartons.
That’s my laugh for the day. Lol 😂

A cruise ship going under the beautiful Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

📝 Did you know that the new mega cruise ships cannot fit beneath the Sunshine Skyway Bridge? The Skyway can handle cruise ships that measure 180 feet from the top of the waterline. But the mega ships can sit as high as 225 feet above the waterline.

The cruise ships that sail up and down Tampa Bay generate more than $380 million in annual economic activity for the area and help support up to 2,000 jobs.

Building a new Skyway (which was finished in 1987) would cost $2 billion. It also would take two years to tear down the current bridge and four years to build a new one.
