It’s finally here! The WTSQ 8th Anniversary Come hang out with us tonight and tomorrow!
WTSQ 88.1 FM is celebrating 8 years of independent community radio with two FREE ALL AGES events on July 14th & 15th in Charleston, WV.
Things kick off on Friday, July 14th at 6:30pm as WTSQ takes over Live on the Levee at Haddad Riverfront Park** with three awesome local acts. Starting the night off we have Dinosaur Burps & The Infidelfonics (DBurps with members of THE YETTI) and special guests, Duck City Music. Then Huntington's goth cowgirl, Ally Fletcher will take the stage followed by Jim P***k to finish out the night.
Then on Saturday, July 15th is QuoFest at City Center at Slack Plaza on Summers Street** starting at 5pm, as part of the City Center Live summer events sponsored by The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation. Mark Price will kick things off followed by mediogres. Then our good friends Lung, from Cincinnati, will take the stage and Red Audio will close out the show. WTSQ DJs Robert Erby and Gavin Wissen will be spinning vinyl in between the bands and keeping Slack Plaza rockin' all evening long. We will have food trucks including Dem 2 Brothers & A Grill and delicious empanadas from Nellita’s Cocina, local artists, beer & wine, and a special one day only WTSQ t-shirt printed on site by Brand Yourself.
Come join all of us DJs, volunteers, sustaining members, underwriters and supporters as we celebrate everyone's favorite local indie radio station, WTSQ 88.1 FM.
**We do have a rain contingency plan in place for both nights in case of rain showers, the shows will still go on! IF a storm moves through, we will relocate to Rock City Cake Company at 205 Capitol Street. And both shows would still be free all ages events.
