Tomorrow on The Morning Mix with Mya's Local Focus Tuesday show, Mya will be talking with Parry Casto (aka Funkle Sam of Huntington's beloved funk band THE M.F.B.) about his side project Boulevard Avenue. A band that formed from the love of the one and only Tudor's Biscuit World and their delectable biscuit creations. Their debut album "Biscuits as Usual" celebrates its 10th anniversary this year and to honor this momentous occasion they have decided to create a special double vinyl release. They have a kickstarter set up to help fund the project and you can help make their dream a reality: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sweatstock/biscuits-as-usual-by-boulevard-avenue-double-vinyl-album

Tune in at 10am to hear all about how this got started, what song is Parry's favorite on the album and other ways you can help out. WTSQ 88.1FM in Charleston or stream us via the WTSQ app or wtsq.org

Sunday, during the Grammy’s “Premier Ceremony” that precedes the big telecast on CBS, Sierra Ferrell nearly swept the American Roots categories where she was nominated four times. Ferrell won all four categories, walking away with trophies for Best Americana Album (Trail of Flowers), Best American Roots Song (“American Dreaming” with co-writer Melody Walker), Best Americana Performance (“American Dreaming”), and Best American Roots Performance for “Lighthouse.”

These wins will not just make Sierra Ferrell one of the biggest winners in country and roots music, it will make her one of the biggest Grammy getters in 2025, if not the biggest before the night is over.
