đHello friends.
I would like to give you all an update on what I have been up to and to ask for your support. Over the past year, I have been working with Woodlands Nature Reserve in Charleston, SC. The Reserve is a 6,000 acre privately-owned stretch of land that encompasses almost every Lowcountry landscape imaginable. I have been focused on the Reserve, as the core efforts and principles there are deeply rooted in Sustainability, Biodiversity, Music, Art, and Healing.
Many remarkable Family Focused Art, Music, and Nature Based experiences have taken place and continue to thrive there. The 4 owners of this property are committed to sharing this inspiring and life-changing land with all who wish to partake.
With the Charleston area experiencing ever-increasing growth, expansion and development, there has been no shortage of purchase offers from developers, profiteers, or private individuals who wish to own this land. Instead of selling, the owners have dug in at their own expense in an effort to realize a dream much needed in our world: a dream to foster a community that is Mindful, Environmentally Intelligent, Soulful and Nourishing. A place where Anyone and Everyone is welcome to reconnect with themselves, with nature, and to leave better than they came.
Currently, June Waterman, one of the property owners, is battling Stage 4 cancer, and she needs support and good healing energy.
This coming Saturday, December 7th, Friends of Woodlands will gather around to celebrate June with as much good energy and healing power as we can draw.
This is a call to all Artists, healers, musicians, friends and genuinely good people. A beautiful lineup of local musicians have already answered this call and will be playing live on the bus stage at North Lake during the daytime. Music, bonfire, friendship, and camping will stretch into the night. Bring a friend, bring a tent, and bring your dog. If you are available to stop by for even a song or a hug, you will be contributing to June's healing hope while strengthening the Reserves power of Art and Biodiversity for our Future.
If you cannot join us in person but still wish make a contribution, please follow the ticket link and purchase a ticket for whatever amount you can. Purchase a ticket for free, just so you can be counted. Every little bit will help with her treatment, and every ticket purchased will show June that her sacrifices and environmental contributions have and will continue to make a meaningful difference.
