Knoxville Community School District Boys finish in 4th place at the Pella Dutch Invitational today. Cool and windy but it was great to finally be in a meet. They were only 5 shots out of first place in a tightly contested meet.

Solon: 323
Knoxville: 324
Gilbert: 339
Winterset: 343
Montezuma: 373

Individually, Evan takes first place honors with a very solid 3 under par 69. Urban 84, Carson 85, Brady 86, Noah 87 and Mikey 95.

On the JV side, congrats to Luke on finishing with a 5th place finish by shooting a 91.

All the boys will be in action tomorrow as they have the first home meet of the year as we play Carlisle and Pleasantville.

Our final day of recognizing the Scooter's Coffee Players of the Season from winter sports lands us on the hardwood with the announcement of our boys and girls basketball winners! As always, ladies first.

In helping lead her EBF Rockets Girls Basketball squad to a second straight 20-win season, third straight Conference title, AND a Class 2A State Tournament berth, EBF Jr/Sr High junior Molly Shafer is the Scooter's Coffee Girls Basketball Player of the Season in the SCC. The Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont Community School District forward led the Rockets, and the Conference, averaging nearly 19 points per game plus blocking 2 shots per contest (also a team and Conference-high)!

Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont EBF Rocket Wrestling freshman, Gage Spurgeon, earns the honors as our Boys Wrestler of the Season compiling a 38-1 overall record on his way to becoming the first State Champion for EBF Jr/Sr High since Sage Walker in 2020!

Our announcements of the Scooter's Coffee Players of the Season from the winter sports slate continues today as we take you to the mat for our wrestling choices!

Despite an injury-riddled senior season, this Chariton Charger Athletics senior still battled her way to a 13-5 overall record and, most notably, a silver medal at this year's Girls State Wrestling Tournament in the 120 class! Chariton Community School District senior, Leah Chandler, showcased a ton of grit, determination, and outstanding wrestling to earn the Scooter's Coffee Girls Wrestler of the Season in the SCC.

Clarke Community Schools Activities & Athletics senior, Bridgette Henry, had a phenomenal year on the lanes, leading the Indians with a 175 average PLUS making her way to the Class 1A State Tournament where she placed 14th with a series score of 568! Our choice for the Scooter's Coffee Boys Bowler of the Season in the SCC should come as no surprise. This Clarke Community Schools Activities & Athletics senior led all of Class 1A with his average game score of 241 🔥🥵 He also helped lead the Clarke Community Schools team to a 5th place finish at the 1A State Tournament, PLUS placed 13th in the individual standings!

Another day, another student-athlete in the SCC signing to continue her academic and athletic career at the collegiate level! This afternoon we're in Bloomfield at Davis County Community Schools to celebrate the signing of Davis County Cross Country/Davis County Track & Field runner Karston Nebel to Central College in Pella, where she will run Cross Country and Track.
