Big Country 103.1 and River Valley Place of Fort Madison have found their "Grandest" grandparent!

Favorite local Grandparents were uploaded and all of you voted on those individuals.

The winner was Alycia Totemeier. She won a $100.00 Amazon gift card and a gift basket from River Valley Place Of Fort Madison.

Here is what Alycia had to say about her Grandma:
"My grandma is the person who has taught me what family means, what kindness means, and what determination is. My grandma has always wanted to bring our family together, and not just immediate but the extended family. When someone visits we get together, when someone is sick she makes them food, when someone needs help she helps find a solution. I never knew other families didn't include their second and third cousins in their immediate family, because my grandma made it normal for us. She organizes a reunion for our immediate and extended family every year that has around 200 family members come. She inspires me to want to be there for all my family in the good and bad. She has babysat so many children throughout her life and even those children's children and grandchildren and they are all are her grandchildren in her eyes. At 81 years old she is still babysitting her great grandchildren. She inspires me to celebrate the little wins with them and to slow down and enjoy my time with my grandma."
