K4 Fighting is back before the Holidays for This Saturday 12/9/23 at Buffalo RiverWorks. Tickets are running low; we have a ton of great Muay Thai and MMA action coming your way. Today we are going to talk about a fight I cannot wait for.

Tom Trexler fights out of Lombardmma-fit and is ready to go for this one. Trexler is one of the best fighters and is a game warrior. Move up weight class and fight no problem, Whatever promoter Keith Forant has asked of him he has stepped up and done. He holds a dominant win over fan favorite Josh Reichardt. He is coming off an impressive dismantling of Jayden Peters in a Muay Thai fight. Jayden is a solid striker with seemingly double the reach of Traxler. Tom has amazing wrestling, dominate submissions, and has turned his striking game into something to be feared. Lombard mma has found a lot of success since I have been calling the fights, and Tom Trexler is a big part of that.
Martin McCooligan is coming in from Redemption MMA. He is 2-1 but got caught with a quick guillotine in his last fight. He got into an exchange on the feet and took a well-timed shot but was a little lazy with the run through and got caught. He went out and chose not to tap. In his previous fight he snatched up an arm bar from guard and was slammed repeatedly and didn’t let go. This dude is tough as nails and can finish. If he latches on to something he isn’t going to let, go.

This one will be an exciting exchange on the feet. McCooligan has shown he is hittable but also shown he can eat shots like breakfast. I think Trexler has the wrestling advantage and I think a lot of this fight will take place on the floor. I think submission of the night is very likely to come from this fight. Or maybe they cancel each other out and we get KO of the night. Either way if you’re a fight fan don’t miss this one.

K4 Fighting is back before the Holidays for a December 9th show at Buffalo Riverworks. Tickets are running low; we have a ton of great Muay Thai and MMA action coming your way. Today we are going to talk about what everyone is waiting for always a lady’s fight. We have two amazing ladies laying it on the line.

Ashley Pesano fights out of WNY MMA and Fitness and is ready to go for this one. She has 6 years’ experience. She will be sharp and on point in this one. She has plenty of partners that can simulate Jasmin Kennard's height and reach advantage. She has been working the clinch with some of the very best in the cage including Mackenzie Musgrove who we seen tear it up in the K-4 cage. Talking with Ashley she is ready to shut the door and go.

Jasmin Kennard is a renaissance woman. She can kickbox, do jiu jitsu, do mma. She is fighting out of Corazon MMA in Ithaca. Not only that, but she is also defending her dissertation soon as well. She is an intelligent sniper and has a high ring IQ. She too has numerous partners that can mimic Ashly. Her accuracy is pinpoint, and she is good at opening up cuts.

This fight is my cohost’s pick for fight of the night. Raymond Arias thinks these women will outshine the men. As of now they are scheduled to open the show. I couldn’t think of a better opening battle. Both girls are in shape and ready to go. This one is not one you will want to miss. Ashly has a done of fan support behind her so expect a loud crowd and exciting fight to start the night. Sounds like K-4 is back. This Saturday the show be there!!!!

K4 Fighting is back before the Holidays for a December 9th show at Buffalo Riverworks. Tickets are already on sale, and you will want to get them early we have a ton of great Muay Thai and MMA action coming your way. Today we are going to talk about an amazing prospects fight. We have Brandon Heh (WNY MMA and Fitness) vs Brian Baker-Herter (Southtowns MMA and Fitness Center). These guys are two of the top prospects in K-4 and this is a sleeper pick for fight of the night.

Brandon Heh looks like Petr Yan in the cage. He is defensively sound, hands high always but with a forward pressure aggressive style. He is in shape and can wrestle. He has great submission skills as well. In fact, his last fight he called what round, how he was going to get submission, and the time that the submission would come. He got the round right; he got the transition that led to the back take and strangle he predicted right, and he got time of finish within 14 seconds. This man knows and understands the game. I will peek into his notebook and see his heads up with Heh prediction and let you know on the PPV, and post-fight write up.

Brian Baker-Herter had a disappointing debut in K-4. He was tapped out within thirty seconds. Brian has been wrestling all his life. He knows the biggest highs and lowest lows that come with a combat sport. He is a very good wrestler and got caught in a quick Guillotine and went to sleep instead of tapping. He trains out of a great gym Primo Luciano and Joe Duffy will fix the holes. Being past the first fight will help a lot to he will be thinking more this time around.

This fight could be submission of the night, it could be fight of the night, it could be knock out of the night. Make sure you’re not getting the great food Riverworks has at the venue when this one starts. Brandon will check Brian’s stand up out of the gate. It will be interesting to see how Heh deals with Barker-Heter’s wrestling and top control. Brawny Smurf (Heh) is one of my favorite fighters. I literally watched him walk in the door for the first time at WNYMMA. Now he is a savage in the cage. I love the Southtowns guys too everyone of them has character and they are made of steel and grit and lead by the Duffy’s (who I hope to have on the podcast soon)

K4 Fighting is back before the Holidays for a December 9th show at Buffalo Riverworks. Tickets are already on sale, and you will want to get them early we have a ton of great Muay Thai and MMA action coming your way. Today we are going to talk about the co-main event. We have Cameron Johnson (Empire Academy) vs. Brian Cox (Elevation Combat Sports Academy ). These two men are fighting for the K-4 125 lb. kickboxing belt. Both are bringing top notch striking into this Contest. Promotor Keith Forant only brings the best to fight for his K-4 titles and it shows with all his champions.

Cameron Johnson is coming in undefeated in three contests. He finished his last two victims impressively with third round knockouts. He is fast and ferocious. He has good kicks and moves well with his punching. He is always in shape as his last two late fight knockouts indicate. He has a chin and has proven it. I haven’t seen him in the clinch but there will be no clinching in this fight, so it doesn’t matter anyway. This kid is on the rise, I am glad promoter Keith Forant was able to work his magic and land this fight.

Brian Cox is a man that needs no introduction to the K-4 fans, but I am going to talk about him anyway. He too is undefeated. He is coming in off an impressive win over Church Street Boxing’s Brendon Phan. When I saw that match up, I only gave Brian a puncher’s chance in that bout. He proved me wrong and made a lifelong fan in me. His movement deflection of kicks and clinch work made me a believer. He has incredible hand speed and hits like a truck. He is calm and mild mannered in interviews and understands the sport well.

This fight on paper will be the fight of the night. One of the other fights on this card will have to be one of the best fights in K-4 history to unseat this one as fight of the night. This Saturday these guys will be putting on a show for you. Expect a back-and-forth battle where both men are in shape to give you a fight that looks the same in the first round as the last. Neither will step back. I think it is the first non Muay Thai kickboxing fight in the organization’s history. Keith couldn’t have picked 2 better fighters to show off how amazing kickboxing can be, don’t miss this one.

K4 Fighting is back before the Holidays for a December 9th show at Buffalo Riverworks. Tickets are already on sale, and you will want to get them early we have a ton of great Muay Thai and MMA action coming your way. Today we are going to talk about the main event. We have Caveman's Corner-175 Tristan Carr (Redemption MMA) vs. Curran (WNYMMA). These two men are fighting for the K-4 170lb belt. Both are bringing 5-1 records into the Contest. Promotor Keith Forant only brings the best to fight for his K-4 titles and it shows with these guys.

Tristan fights tall and likes to fight on the outside delivering damage with powerful striking at range. He has struggled at times with giving up takedowns but his ability to get up off the bottom and his submission attacks make trying for the takedown difficulties. You may send a lot of energy getting him down for him to get up and separate. Or even worse come up with a submission from the bottom that ends the fight. He has been training wrestling with Brockport university wrestlers so expect tremendous improvement making it an even bigger energy expense getting him down. He has left a literal pool of blood in the cage with the damage he has done to his opponent. He is coming in from out of town to take on fan favorite Blake Curran. We had him on the podcast and he said that is no worry of his he is used to coming into the other fighter’s town and taking victory. Expect a good walkout song and an even better performance from this gentleman.

Blake Curran is a smashing machine. So far, his only loss has been a fight with PFL star Solomon Renfro. I have watched these two train after and they trained like that fight fast and intense. Blake brings in a crashing striking style trying to take away space and knock you out from the pocket. He will try and whip you around then submit you on the floor. He has ferocious striking and an aggressive submission style. He hasn’t fought since 2017 and we will have to see how this affects him under the lights. In the training room he has been a savage will that translate in the cage. Is ring rust real?

This fight will come down to three things. Who controls the space on the feet if they fight in kicking range Tristian is winning if they are in the phone booth Blake is winning. Who controls the grappling exchanges maybe Tristan takes Blake down or could be the other way around, these guys can submit each other as easily as knock each other out. The last thing, is ring Rust real. Can Tristan get a round because Blake starts out slow or fatigues and loses third due to ring rust. I know Blake is looking to turn pro and so is Tristan so these guys will be fighting for the win to propel them to the pro ranks. I don’t see this one going three rounds Caveman prediction is this one ends in the second. We will probably get either knockout or submission of the night from this fight.
