EXTENDED CLIP: Here's (most) the story about/behind Damar Hamlin's dad telling me to get his son's nuts out of my mouth and my reaction to it.
CLIP: I'm moving the goal posts on my Keon Coleman expectations going forward because the rookie's showing he can handle it.
I'm officially not sleeping on a Davante Adams trade to Buffalo.
"When the trade deadline passe, if I see Mack Hollins out there getting the first pass rep, I'm telling ya - I'm probably going to lose it, and I'm going to start to question the true commitment that this team has to try and win a Super Bowl this year" - Patrick Moran
I love diving into the Bills game film during the week. Besides the obvious the more informed the better you’re at talking about the team, but you also see things and learned you probably didn’t realize watching the game in real time.
Here’s a specific play that illustrates that Josh Allen was really off on Sunday and not automatically put everything on Joe Brady, or say that Curtis Samuel is useless. This play is 2nd and goal from the 10 late in the fourth after the Bills get a takeaway. Brady calls for a quick screen to Samuel on the right and it’s the RIGHT call. Kincaid gets out for a block (not a great but gets a piece) and more importantly the Houston left inside backer blitzes, which is what you’re hoping to see. Allen gets the ball to Samuel quickly like he should and it’s basically one guy (the safety) for Samuel to beat to get in the end zone. Even if he doesn’t score, worse case you have a 3rd down and goal from inside the 5. But Josh for some reason doesn’t pull the trigger and ultimately ends up eating the sack, pushing them out to the 20 yard line and no realistic chance for a touchdown. They settle for a FG and well—we all know the finish. Obviously Josh is a great player but I’m telling you, he was as much the problem in Houston as Brady, McDermott or any of the crappy receivers.
