I''m cleaning up my workspace for my various hobbies and of course, this made me think of the old game, Star Smuggler: A Complete Programmed Adventure For One Player by Dwarfstar Games.
That's right, this is my yearly link to remind you to visit Brianiac games to download Star Smuggler for free.

For , I dug out the Archer and the Locust. These two are my favorites.

I'm working on a new thing. Here is a tiny excerpt:
"Kobolds are the eyes and ears of the goblinoid hordes. They have one curious cultural and physical trait that sets them apart from other goblinoids. The word for goblinoid is the same as the word for “bird” or “inedible”. Kobolds can choke on bird and goblinoid bones like a dog does with chicken bones. Since they do not eat birds, birds do not flee from Kobolds. This helps them stalk and ambush others. "
I missed by a lot.

Here is my post. The start of August is always wild, so I took a huge detour in life and this post.

Tonight, I meant to post this by Midnight on Saturday. I missed by 10 minutes. I have a pair of stock D&D characters.
The lateness was caused by getting bogged down in the artwork.

A second post, 2 in 4 days. Not bad.
In this post, I'm doing a content preview.

Just a test file.
Theoretically, I am on hiatus but I found a post that I never published, back in 2022. I revisit Stephen Donaldson's Monomach character class.

I have decided to take a break from blogging for a bit. About 100 days to get my act back together.

A chance discovery at an antique store.
Ever read a rule set where you simply can't understand the math? Ascending armor class and THAC0 sounds harder than descending AC?
You're not dumb. Math has changed over the years. What people know and how they work problems often depends on when they were born.
This video's audio track is from the 1960's but sound exactly like what people would say in the 2000s.
FIXED version: http://ocarinaplaya.deviantart.com/art/New-Math-by-Tom-Neighrer-348383406I think I'm getting the hang of this animation stuff, don'tcha think?...
In this post, I put together a collection 12 tools for DIY crafting. I will be using these 12 items for both a series of posts and at my game table for props.

Welcome to the page. Thank you for following me.
I post about Star Star Frontiers all the time. I lost my box setting and wanted to make a nice box for the pnp edition. You can check out the link to the print pnp game in this post.

I'd like to write a campaign setting with rules. Right now, I call it "Setting Unknown" which is kind of wrong because I know it's a "sci-fi" setting.

Check out a new Sci-Fi setting of mine.

Here is a quick update on how I transfer files from DriveThruRPG's Android and Chromebook app to my iBook and Linux machine.

I found a great character sheet for Star Frontiers and I babble about world and character building.

My store on Ko-Fi has just opened. I am leading with items that will never change, like my AD&D Character Sheets for Unearthed Arcana and my Hex Pack.
These items are pay-what-you-want and are IDENTICAL to those offered on DriveThruRPG. There is no need to duplicate your efforts if you already got them from DTRPG. This is simply a different shopping option.
I need a supporting cast for my campaign. In this post I write about the ships the characters will have access to. The tiny Kon-Tiki shuttles are capable of system-to-system travel but need the support of a larger ship or two.

I am working on a Star Frontiers Campaign on my blog. I am also using this post to see the effects of dropping a link in my post. I hear it is bad, but want to see for myself.

Ah, famous last words: "Let me know what you think in the comments..." then forget to share the post.
This post is about archers, mostly for b/x, D&D, etc. but could be used in any RPG with ammo.
It's a little bit early, but I have a good book, Pink Floyd and a nice cup of coffee.
I have a post of an OSE character. He is a very unusual assassin as Ormonde has an actual day job.

Back in the day, I loved MYST. My computer of that age had both a CD ROM drive and 2 hard drives for games. This weekend, after 20-ish years, one drive failed and I was forced to run the backups to get the machine running again.
That sent me down a memory rabbit hole of great games. MYST is the first of many.
