Leak update/ Boil water notice
December 23, 2023
We have fixed the leak and are currently turing the water back on, it will take some time for it to reach everyone due to such a large area being affected. A boil water notice has been issued and you can read the full notice on our website under News & Notices then select Recent News. You will need to boil your water until the notice is rescinded. The areas affected are; Shamrock Shores, Lamar Terrace, CR 551, CR 550, FM 2492/Thrifty Area, FM 1849, CR 147, Bluebonnet Estates, Hidden Valley, Indian Mountain Trl, CR 102, Hwy 279 starting at CR 152 going North, Turner Ranch Estates, Sandy Beach, Dominion Point, Park Rd 15, CR 411, CR 120 and CR 454. If you live in or around the areas listed and lost water on 12/23/2023 you are affected by this boil water notice and will need to boil your water until the rescind notice is sent out.

Toys for Kids will begin signing up clients on Monday, November 7th at the Grand Starz Bingo Hall, 2323 Belle Plain. They will have sign ups Monday’s, Tuesday’s, and Wednesday’s from 10:30am to 4:30pm. Parents and or Guardians must bring an ID and the child’s social security card. We are now accepting vendor applications for the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce and Wendlee Broadcasting 10th Annual Trick or Treat Trail presented by Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood.

Citizens National Bank Bright Future

Renovation is expected to be complete in late spring of 2022
A new storage building will be built on the empty lot behind the Drive -Thru and the parking lot will be expanded.
The commercial lane in the Drive - Thru will be expanded and new exterior lighting and all new equipment will be installed.
The exterior of the Drive - Thru will be refreshed with new canopies.
The exterior of the main bank will be renovated and the interior renovation will consist of new window coverings, paint, carpet and furniture. Many historical features will be kept such as a marble and brass tables brass clock with stained glass diail safe from Coggin Brothers CNB monogram "weeping bench" from the depression era etc.
A new and larger boardroom will be built and the remodeled executive lounge can be used by community organizations.

The national build day for Sleep In Heavenly Peace is called Bunks Across America.
It is June 12 this year.
Our chapter is going to be meeting in the parking lot of the UPS store in early and our goal is to build 10 beds. We need volunteers to make that happen! We have all the tools and the lumber and the parts. What we need are helping hands!

ACCESS DURING OFF THE AIR EVENTS FOR KXYL - FM 102.3:

Alert from City of Goldthwaite: City Hall Lobby Access

Effective immediately thru April 16, 2020 access to the City Hall lobby will be limited to appointment only. You can schedule an appointment by contacting City Hall. All utility payments will be handled on-line, by phone, mail or placed in the dropbox at the front of City Hall. For cash customers any change due back will be applied to your account. You can also sign up for monthly bank draft. Debit and credit cards are charged a 3% service fee.

We’re seeking a part time receptionist who is very computer orientated for a very digital heavy broadcasting office. We’re looking for someone to work 20 to 25 hours a week, Monday-Friday. Candidates must be hard working, extremely reliable, responsible, conscientious and friendly.

Responsibilities:

Station receptionist will be responsible for greeting persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or es**rt them to specific destinations
Sorting mail and other package deliveries
Transmit information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
Answering multi line phone and taking detailed messages
File and maintain records and data entry as requested
Faxing
High attention to detail and Ability to multi-task
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet (Excel, word, power point and outlook)
Basic keyboard and 10-key skills
Processing payments
Assist with administrative tasks and special projects on an as needed basis.

Requirements:

Must have experience in a clerical position
Must be very skilled in computer knowledge
Must have schedule flexibility
Must be able to maintain a part time job
