Now, he is a young adult making his way in the bluegrass music world as a ETSU college student in the bluegrass, old time, and country music program, he's a singer-songwriter extraordinaire, a superlative guitar picker, and has recently taken on hosting some of the Boones Creek Opry events on the side. Today is Flag Day

The holiday commemorates the date in 1777 when the United States approved the design for its first national flag. The stripes represent the original 13 Colonies and the stars represent the 50 states of the Union. The colors of the flag are symbolic as well; red symbolizes hardiness and valor, white symbolizes purity and innocence, and blue represents vigilance, perseverance and justice.
