Tonight on WHYR 96.9 Baton Rouge Community Radio (whyr.org) at 10 Pm there will be an all new episode of Nether Street hosted by Clyde featuring new bands, recently re-issued music by Australia's 60's psych band The Twilights, album deep cuts from some of the best known American 1960's rock bands and at midnight there will be prog Prog PROG and more PROGGGG.
Artists tonight include Chime School, The Soundcarriers, The Softies, The Twilights, Bill Wyman (see pic!), King Crimson, Klaatu, ELP, Grateful Dead, The Merry Go Round, Love, The Byrds, The Band, Iron Butterfly and many more!

After 13 remarkable years, we bid a fond farewell to Sara Marchiafava, a pillar of strength and dedication at WHYR. As our treasurer and a devoted board member, Sara was the heartbeat of our operations, ensuring we thrived even in our most challenging times. Her unwavering commitment quite literally kept the lights on, guiding us through with grace and resilience.

Sara, your legacy at WHYR is immeasurable. Your financial acumen, coupled with your passion for our mission, has left a mark. As you step down from your role, know that your contributions have been a beacon of light for us all.

Board meetings will not be the same without your insightful contributions and warm presence. We deeply thank you for your years of service, dedication, and for being an integral part of our WHYR family. You will be greatly missed, but we are excited for you as you embark on your next adventure.

WHYR is hosting a live remote broadcast on Friday, November 17th for White Light Night at Baton Rouge Music Studios. White Light Night is Baton Rouge’s annual art festival featuring local Louisiana artists and makers.
