ROTARY SUPPORTS ACADEMY

Since its conception the Avon Academy has found support from the members of the Rotary Club of Avon. Academy Coordinator Kellie Rodkey visited a Rotary meeting early on to describe the new program that would begin in the fall of 2023. She explained the concept: “Avon Academy (will) serve students who are credit deficient, who may not find success in a large environment, or who may be young parents. The desired outcome is that each student graduate on time with a plan for the future.”

Since its opening in July 2023, Rotarians have donated supplies and time to Avon Academy to give support to this life-changing, innovative program. As an expression of appreciation for that support, Rodkey invited the club to hold its weekly meeting at the Academy to see first-hand how it all works.

On Tuesday, January 23 from 7 to 8:00 a.m., Avon Rotarians will gather at the Academy located at 7203 E. US Highway 36 for an informative program and tour of the facility. As with every Rotary meeting, visitors are welcome!

NOTE: this is an early morning meeting that will have you on your way to work by 8:00 energized and inspired.
