Poem for the Tuskegee Airmen, by Dr. J. Calvin Alberty
I was blessed to write and perform my poem, “The Tuskegee Airmen.” I was so inspired by the presence of Billy “A’ Train” Roberts, (in the wheelchair) portrayed by Cuba Gooding Jr. in the movie. He expressed appreciation and gratitude for my rendition of the poem. As a veteran of the United States Air Force, it means so much more to me than words can capture.
